T. JACKSON Orbisonia, Pa. Manager: C. T. Jackson was born in Jefferson County, Pa., June 24, 1883, on a farm; he remained on the farm till the age of twenty-one years. He is a son of Frederick Jackson, who was a farmer; he owned a farm; he was also a carpenter; he married Marietta Stevens; both are deceased, the father dying at the age of fifty-three years. C. T. Jackson received his education in Jefferson County, Pa. He was for four years a marine stationed at Porto Rico; in 1906, for a time, was with the Niagara Power Company at Niagara Falls, New York, and for four years was in the grocery business at Everett, Pa. For two years was with he Great Atlantic and Pacific Company at Lewistown, Pa. In August, 1929, he succeeded Harvey R. Eyles as manager of the A & P store at Orbisonia, Pa. The family are Methodists. He served on the School Board at Everett, Pa. He believes in the principles of the Democratic party. He has three brothers: Morris, George and Theodore; four brothers are deceased, William, John, Andrew and Charles. One sister, Elizabeth, married to John Blackmore; they reside in Montana. Three sisters are deceased; Emma, Mildred and Lola. C. T. Jackson was married to Hannah Williams, a daughter of Oliver and Alice Williams; they come of Puritan stock that came over on the Mayflower. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson have one son, Ralph, fourteen years of age; also one daughter, Norma, twelve years of age, both attending school. Note: Clifton T. (45; store manager), Hanna (40), Ralph (13) and Norma J. (11) Jackson are listed in the 1930 Cromwell, Huntingdon County census.
