Merchant and Postmaster: Born at Nossville, Huntingdon County, Pa., February 28, 1905. A son of C. H. Kling, a school teacher for thirty-five years, retired, and lives on a farm of one hundred acres. His brother, Benson Kling, was a Civil War veteran. C. H. Kling married Eva Briggs; they both reside at Nossville. Edmund Kling received his early schooling at Union School, Nossville; he was raised on a farm. He afterwards attended a summer school at Shade Gap. At present is postmaster at Blair's Mills, Huntingdon County, Pa. He was appointed under the Coolidge administration; established himself in mercantile business in 1927; has a neatly arranged store and an extensive patronage. A member of the Methodist Church; belongs to P.,O.S. of A., Camp 333, East Waterford, Juniata County, Pa. Aligned with the Democratic party. He has three brothers: Paul W., a plumber, married to Nettie Parsons, Lewistown, Pa.; Jefferson L., married to Hulda Burkholder, Nossville, Pa.; he is a World War veteran; Adrian, at school. Sisters are: Blanche, married to Norman Snyder, Shade Gap, Pa.; Larue, married to Samuel Gardner, Uniontown, Pa.; Marie, married to Robert Jones, Blair's Mills. Edmund Kling was married to Mabel McClure, a daughter of Nevin and Katharine McClure. They are in the hotel business at Blair's Mills, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Kling have one son, E. Wade, two years of age. Mr. Kling is a pleasant and agreeable person, courteous and obliging.
