LITTLE Petersburg, Pa. Cashier, Petersburg National Bank: Was born at Concord, Franklin County, Pa., October 28, 1866. James H. Little was his father; he died in 1890. His mother before marriage was Malinda (Donnelly) Little, who died in 1876. Arthur S. Little was ten years of age when his mother died. Previous to becoming Cashier of the First National Bank, he was engaged in the general merchandising business at Concord, Franklin County, Pa., for ten years. He attended the Academy at Concord, Franklin County, Pa. Appointed Cashier in April, 1905. Was Burgess of Petersburg for eight years; also a School Director. Is a Methodist. Was active in the Liberty Loan and Red Cross drives during World War. He is a Democrat. Has two brothers, Newton M., Council Bluff, Iowa, a merchant, and Oscar H., at teacher at Concord, Franklin County, Pa. Sisters are: Laura Bratton, McVeytown, Pa.; Luella, Council Bluff, Iowa; Florence, married to Jas. Eberhart. Mr. Arthur Little was married to Belle Silverthorn, of Shade Valley, Huntingdon County, Pa. Children are Mildred, teaching at Boston, Bradford Academy, in 1929; has been appointed to the Sarah Laurence College, Bronxville, New York; Arthur Ray, Pittsburgh, Pa., and John O., Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Little since assuming the position he holds, has won the esteem and approval of the public. He desires to see the community prosper and helps along any worthy cause. Mr. Little has become very popular with the public through coming in contact with them in a business way.
