LOCKE Shade Gap, Pa. Proprietor Shade Gap Garage: Formerly Postmaster at Wood, Pa. For seventeen years, Guy Locke successfully conducted Uncle Sam's affairs. He was born at Shade Gap, February 2, 1881, and in Locke's Valley began his early training for a future career. Mack Locke was his father and Mary Locke his mother. The father died in February, 1917. Mr. Locke was engaged in farming in Locke's Valley, Huntingdon Co., Pa. On Oct. 15th he purchased the Shade Gap Garage from Frank Wilson and is operating the same and has moved to Shade Gap, into his home adjoining his garage. An extensive business is conducted in repairing all makes of cars; also in the sale of accessories, tubes, casings, etc.; all the necessary equipment is here for the carrying on of this business. He is a Republican in politics, and has served on the election boards at various occasions. Three brothers, Charles , Earl and Herbert Locke. Five sisters, Edyth, Ella, Blanche, Edna and Ruth. Guy H. Locke is widely acquainted over a large territory and will continue rendering good service to the public. Ample space is here for the storing of cars and first-class repairing is guaranteed. Tourists find here that which they require in gas, oils, etc. Mr. Locke comes of the old stock of Lockes that have rendered a good account of their stewardship. They have in turn been farmers, lumbermen, postmasters and merchants and pioneers.
