LUKENS Mount Union, Pa. Real Estate and Insurance: Born at Mount Union, Pa., June 4, 1882. Attended Mount Union grade and high schools. A son of the late George W. Lukens and Annie C. (Smith) Lukens, both deceased. Later on in life Charles B. Lukens became identified with the firm of A. G. Lehman as their representative, selling a line of condiments. For twelve years he continued with this house, broadening their territory, until he had established a flourishing trade. He was a foreman at the Harbison-Walker Refractories Co., Mount Union, Pa., for a period of five years. During the World War was cost clerk, at main office, at Powder Plant, Mount Union, Pa. At present conducts a real estate and general insurance business, operating over an extensive territory. He is the assessor of the First Ward of Mount Union, Pa. He belongs to the Methodist church; also his wife. Belongs to the I.O.O.F., 677; and L.O.O.M., 1361. Following are his brothers and sisters: Harry, Mount Union, Pa., coal business; Gerald, Assistant Cashier, Central National Bank, Mount Union, Pa.; Fred, deceased. Olive, married to George McGreagor, Altoona, Pa.; Pearl, married to George Long, Mount Union, Penna. Charles B. Lukens was married to Laura Lehew. Mr. Lukens is well posted in realty values and has made many desirable transfers of houses, business opportunities, and farms. As an insurance underwriter he represents old line, dependable, firms and companies.
