Allison Miller comes from the oldest and earliest settlers of Huntingdon. Their names and deeds have given a foundation stock that will ever live and their forebears have lived up to traditions set by their forefathers. R. Allison Miller received his preliminary education at the First Ward schools of Huntingdon - a diligent student. He early in life took up the plumbing business, and in order to advance his knowledge along this line he attended the New York Trade School; he finished the prescribed course and received his degree of M.S. In 1904 he established himself in the plumbing business at Huntingdon, Pa.. From the beginning he has met with success. He has injected new ideas into this important business, and at his office and salesroom are found the latest, neatest and best selections of sanitary and heating supplies. He has done some notable work in Huntingdon and surrounding country; no job is too large and none too small. He is at all times ready to give plans, estimates, and specifications on work of this character. He employs competent, skilled mechanics; repairing and new work are special features that receive first consideration. Since he has taken on the exclusive agency for "Torrid Heat" oil heating appliances, many are the homes in which this system has been installed. R.
