BOWER ANDREW MYERS
Mapleton Depot, Pa.

Frigidaire Representative:  Bower Andrew Myers was born at Johnstown, 
Pa., March 13, 1890.  A son of the late J. Harry Myers, of 
Shirleysburg, Pa., who was an auctioneer, a miller, and a butcher; he 
was the father of twelve children, six sons and six daughters.  He is 
now deceased.  His wife resides at Shirleysburg, Pa.  Bower Andrew 
Myers received his education at Shirleysburg, Huntingdon Co., Pa., and 
early in life followed the butcher business.  He was formerly engaged 
in the meat business at Mapleton for eighteen years; had built up a 
first-class business with neatly arranged quarters.  He sold this 
business to the Swan interests, who operate a chain of stores in 
Huntingdon county.  At the present time he is a representative of the 
manufacturers who put on the market the Frigidaire electric cooling 
system.  He is a member of the Methodist Chruch.  Has been a member of 
the Mapleton Borough Council for eight years, and for six years its 
president.  He belongs to the Junior O.U.A. Mechanics; I.O.O.F., and 
P.O.S. of A.  A Republican in politics. Member of Board of Trade and 
Chamber of Commerce.  He has five brothers and six sisters.  He was 
married to Lillian Moffett on December 21, 1911.  One son of this 
union, J.L. Myers, attending Huntingdon High School.  Mr. Myers is well 
fitted to represent his company in the refrigerating line, as his past 
experience in cooling meats and provisions will testify, and the 
Frigidaire as a cooling system needs no introduction.  It is put on the 
market by the General Motors Corporation.  Mr. Myers and family reside 
in the Clairdon Apartments at Mapleton Depot, Pa.
