JAMES NEIDEIGH, B.S. Orbisonia, Pa. Principal Orbisonia High School: An able instructor, and one whose interest has to do with the elevating and uplifting of education in Orbisonia and Rock Hill, is that of Prof. James Neideigh. To-day Orbisonia's schools have taken a leading and commanding position in matters that pertain to education. He was born in Blain, Perry Co., Pa., April 2, 1899. In Blain he first began his early training, which has led him to the position he now holds. A son of Alton D. Neideigh and Alice Neideigh, of Blain, Pa. Perry County has done its share in turning out dependable and forceful men, who devote their time and attention to that which they are engaged in, and are successful in matters they set out to attain. Prof. Neideigh graduated at the Blain High School in 1916, after which he pursued a course at Susquehanna University, receiving the degree of B.S. in 1920. He then matriculated at Juniata College in 1925, where he continued his studies to best fit him for his profession. He is also Supervisor and Instructor at the Rock Hill School, a neighboring town of Orbisonia, Pa. During the World War was in a training camp. He has one brother, Frank Neideigh. Prof. Neideigh adheres to the principles of the Republican party. A member of the Lutheran Church and an attendant at the Sunday School. He was married to Elizabeth L. Hall, of Blain, Perry Co., Pa. They have two sons: William Alton, seven and one-half years of age; Harry Frank, six years; and one daughter, Betty Jane, five years, who make up this family to which he is devoted. Basketball he takes an interest in, and strives to put the game on a higher standard, to compete with other schools of equal calibre. Prof. Neideigh has made many friends and acquaintances since locating at Orbisonia and his friendship expands as time rolls on.
