Mail Carrier, United States Government: Orris Ellsworth Park was born at Saltillo, Huntingdon County, Pa., January 2, 1893. Joseph A. Park is his grandfather; he is a Civil War veteran, living at Saltillo, Pa. William Albert Park and Myrtle (Long) Park are the parents of Orris Ellsworth Park; they reside at Saltillo, Pa. Orris Ellsworth Park received his education at Saltillo, Pa., upon the equivalent of two years' high school work. From 1918 to 1922 he was engaged in business, sporting goods and athletic supplies. At present he is in the employ of the United States Government as mail carrier. He belongs to the Methodist Episcopal Church. Is Assistant Secretary to the official Sunday School and Church Board, and also a Sunday School scholar. He has served on election board. He belongs to the Masonic Fraternity, the I.O.O.F.; is Secretary, and has held all offices. He believes in the principles of the Republican party. He has one brother, Chester Vernon Park, New Kensington, Pa.; one sister, Lillian Mae, Saltillo, Pa. Orris Ellsworth Park was married to Anna Laura Matthews, April 24, 1913; they have one son, Donald Charles, a member of the Mount Union High School Band, fifteen and on-half years of age. Three daughters: Marguerite Maxwell; Anna Louise, ten and one-half years of age; Jean Frances, two years of age. Mr. Park has always been an industrious and progressive citizen, and justly merits the esteem of his neighbors. Hunting and fishing are his sports. Since the above was written, Mr. Park's mother departed this life, on January 27, 1930. Her brothers are George, of Three Springs, Pa.; Emory, of Latrobe, Pa.; Reuben, of Chambersburg, Pa. Her sisters are Dora, married to H.R. Barclay, Mapleton, Pa., and Lula, married to Charles W. Roof, Chambersburg, Pa.
