ALBERT PRICE Hill Valley, Huntingdon County, Pa. Director of the Poor: J. Albert Price was born at Three Springs, Huntingdon County, Pa., September 12, 1883; received his early school training in Germany Valley, at the Red Hill School. His father, Asaph Price, was born in Huntingdon Co., Pa., November 23, 1855. He was married to Jane Fleming. Both are deceased. The father died in 1924 and the mother died in 1926. Both the father and mother died at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Thos. Crownover. They were farmers in Germany Valley, but later moved to Allenport. J. Albert Price is at present a County Poor Director, elected to serve a term of four years; also engaged in farming, buying and selling lumber, ties, and dealing in stock. Has been a farmer in Hill Valley for twenty-five years; has two saw mills, one in Hill Valley and one in Black Log Valley. Has been Road Supervisor; appointed Tax Collector of Shirley Township, to serve two years. Has been on election board at various times; is a Methodist, and attends Sunday School. Belongs to Patrons of Husbandry, or Grange; is a Republican, first and last. Has four brothers: Russell J., Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Charles V., Lancaster, Pa.; Fleming K., same address, and Forman, Akron, O. Three sisters, Mrs. M. J. Bowmaster, Orbisonia, Pa.; Minerva Crownover, Huntingdon, Pa., and Mary Houck, Akron, Ohio. He was married to Anne Hall, Shirleysburg, Pa. Mr. Price has twelve children, as follows: Grace, who has taught school four years in Upper Hill Valley; Herbert and Richard, at Lewistown, Pa.; Freda J., Wm. Asaph, Helen O.; John A., thirteen years; Bruce D., eleven years; Anna, nine years; Wilmer, seven years; Joan, five years; and Thomas J., aged four years. Hunting is his favorite sport.
