Electrician: Was born at Alexandria, Pa., May 19, 1898. A son of George Rishell, now residing at Alexandria, Pa., and of Della Pitman, who died in 1917, at the age of fifty-one years. Earl Rishell began his schooling at Alexandria, Pa. He served one year at the Radiator Works at Huntingdon, Pa., did electrical work for the Raystown Water Power Co., for three years; at present is an electrician for the American Lime and Stone Co, at Tyrone, Pa.; has been for six years. At time of World War was a signal fitter for the Penna. R.R. He served in the World War. Was first on the Mexican border,. Enlisted at Huntingdon, Pa.; on the border for eight months; came back to Alexandria and was recalled for World War service. Left Alexandria to Huntingdon, Pa.; rejoined the same company, which was Co. F, at Huntingdon, Pa.; left for Camp Hancock, Ga.; was there for eight months; thence to Camp Upton, Long Island, N.Y.; embarked on English freighter (Hororata); on water twelve days; arrived at Liverpool, England; to Calais, France; there for several days; was transferred to Co. C, same regiment; went to Chateau Thiery, by way of Paris, France; was in reserve; was wounded at Chateau Thiery by high explosive shell; was sent to Red Cross Hospital in Paris, for five months; left for St. Nazaire, France, for U.S. A.; came back on (Rhyndam); arrived at Newport News on New Year's day, January 1st, 1919; after arrival was sent to Fort McHenry for six months. He had a service of four years. Earl Rishell is a member of the Methodist church of Alexandria, Pa.; his wife is of the Lutheran faith, Saxton, Pa. He belongs to the Modern Woodmen and American Legion, both of Alexandria, Pa. A Republican. He has one brother, Harold. Three sisters: Mrs. G. M. Work, Altoona, Pa.; Bessie, married to LeRoy McFall, Lancaster, Pa.; also Mrs. Fred Baughman, Lancaster, Pa. Earl Rishell was married to Miss Minerva Haupt. One son, Earl, Jr., born August 17, 1918, and one daughter, La Verna, nine years, born May 28, 1920.
