H. RUDY Brady Township, Huntingdon Co., Pa. Service Station: F. H. Rudy was born in Brady Township, Huntingdon County, Pa., October 28, 1901. A son of John O. Rudy, who was a miller in Brady Township; mill torn down eight years ago; was for twenty-five years a miller at Petersburg, Huntingdon County, Pa., at what was then known as Cresswell's Mill; for forty-five years a miller. Died in 1922, at the age of sixty-seven years. He married Bertha Brindle; she now resides in Brady Township. F. H. Rudy was raised on a farm; stayed on the farm until eighteen years of age. He has followed various occupations; was an ironworker, craneman, a steam shovel man; principally constructive work at Johnstown, Pittsburgh, Lewistown, Harrisburg, Altoona, and other places where men of this type are employed. At present is Auditor of Brady Township. In 1927 he built a neat and commodious service station, lunch and dining room, beautifully arranged, for the convenience of tourists and the public, serving lunches, ice cream, soft drinks, etc.; tourists' and campers' supplies. He is a Democrat in politics. He has one brother, John H., married to Nellie Bollinger, who lives at 819 Mifflin Street, Huntingdon, Pa. He has five sisters: Claudia Metz, Flo Woodward, Edna Swiler, Mill Creek; Daphne, at home; Elizabeth Weston. Grace, a sister, was burned to death in a barn at Huey's farm; was eighteen years of age. F. G. [sic] Rudy was married to Ethel Parks, a daughter of William and Mame Parks, by the Rev. Merle Williams, at Lock Haven, Pa. They have one daughter, Maxine, aged three years. Note: Fred H. Rudy, 28, Ethel N. Rudy, 29, and Marine N. Rudy, 3 7/12 are listed in the 1930 Brady Township, Huntingdon County census.
