SCHELL Huntingdon, Pa. Salesman: Was born at Aitch Postoffice, Huntingdon Co., Pa., July 26, 1885. A son of George W. Schell, of Aitch, a farmer, who owns two farms of 327 acres; has been a farmer all his life. His wife was Lillie Moore, who died in 1895, aged twenty-nine years. George W. Schell still resides at the above named place. Both belonged to the Methodist church. Samuel M. Schell began his first schooling at Aitch, after which he attended Juniata College, in 1901 and 1902. Taught school for a period of four years in Penn township, Huntingdon Co., Pa.; for one and a half years traveled throughout the west; visited the Yukon Exposition held in Seattle, Washington, and also visited other western cities. For eleven years was in the grocery business in Altoona, Pa., and for the past eight years has been associated with Reeves, Parvin & Co., Wholesale Grocers, Huntingdon, Pa. The family all belong to the Fifteenth Street Methodist Church, West Huntingdon, Pa. Mr. Schell is Acting Superintendent of the Junior Department. He belongs to he Knights of Pythias, No.147, Altoona, Pa.; also the United Commercial Travelers Association. has two brothers, Fred M., a farmer, at Aitch, Huntingdon Co., Pa.; Irvin, Huntingdon, Pa., a carpenter,. One sister, Lizzie, married to Linton Hoover, a plumber, Huntingdon, Pa. Samuel M. Schell was married to Blanche Kocher, a daughter of John and Mary Kocher; both are deceased; lived in Altoona, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Schell have two sons, Alden Hyles, aged ten years, at school, sixth grade; Wayne M., nine years of age, at school, sixth grade.
