SCHOCH Huntingdon, Pa. Jeweler: Born in Brady Township, Clearfield Co., Pa., May 31, 1872. A son of Louis Schoch, who was a blacksmith for forty years. He was a Deputy Revenue Collector for the 9th Penna. District, under E. A. Bigler, of Clearfield, Pa. Louis Schoch was born in Germany. He died in 1910, at he age of sixty-five years. He was married to Catherine Schucker. She was born in Brady township, Clearfield Co., Pa., and died in 1910 at the age of forty-eight years. Cyrus A. Schoch received his education at the Troutville grade schools of Clearfield Co., Pa. For forty years he has been a jeweler; was formerly located at Dubois; also at Williamsburg, Pa. He established a jewelry business in Huntingdon, Pa., carrying in stock neat designs in watches, rings, etc. Repairing is given prompt attention. He was a school director at Williamsburg; also secretary of the school Board. He was on the Second War election board of Huntingdon, Pa. He belongs to the Masonic Fraternity, Portage Lodge, No. 220, of Hollidaysburg, Pa.; Harrisburg Consistory; the A.A.A.; is a member of Kiwanis, a Past President. He is a Democrat. He has two brothers: E. A., residing at Moncton, Province of New Brunswick, a stenographer and bookkeeper; M. G., Buffalo, N.Y., with Penna. R.R.; L. M. is deceased; died in Seattle, Wash., a the age of twenty-three years. His sisters are: Mrs. J. F. Buchheit, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. Miriam Alshouse, Punxsutawney, Pa.; Mrs. Ella Ruggles, Carlisle, Pa.; Mrs. Mary Marshall, who is deceased. Cyrus A. Schoch was married to Elsie Peightal, a daughter of James and Sarah Ann Peightal; both parents are deceased. They have two daughters: Fay M., graduated from Huntingdon High School; also graduate of Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pa. She assists her father in the jewelry business. Rhoda S. is also a graduate of the Huntingdon High School; also Juniata College. She was married to C. A. Dean, of Huntingdon Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Schoch are members of the Presbyterian church of Huntingdon.
