Clerk, East Broad Top R.R. and Coal Co.; was born at Shade Gap, Huntingdon Co., Pa., March 11, 1899. A son of Frank and Eleanor (Stewart) Scott. The father is living; the mother died Dec. 22, 1928. Harold Stewart Scott was educated at Orbisonia, the Rock Hill grade school and the grade schools of Mount Union, Pa. At present he is a clerk in the Superintendent's office, East Broad Top Railroad and Coal Co. For fifteen years has been engaged in clerical office work. He has been borough auditor for six years. Belongs to the Methodist church and Sunday school. Believes in the principles of the Republican party. Belongs to the Masonic Fraternity, Cromwell Lodge, No. 572, Orbisonia; the Harrisburg Consistory; a Shriner, Jaffa Temple, Altoona, Pa. Has one brother, Kenneth L., of Pittsburgh, Pa. Five sisters: Marion, married to Robert McCann, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Annie, married to John L. Clayton, West Chester, Pa.; Helen, married to Russell Gilliland, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Mildred, at West Chester, Pa.; Hope, teaching school at New Alexandria, Pa. On March 29, 1929, Mr. Harold Scott was married to Ruth Watson, of Mount Union, Pa., a daughter of Joseph Watson. Mr. Scott is a member of the Juniata County Club, and in his leisure moments delights to play golf and tennis. He has been a faithful employee and has the respect of all with whom he comes in contact.
