M. SHEARER Blair's Mills, Huntingdon County, Pa. Master Mechanic: D. M. Shearer was born in Lock [Lack] Township, Juniata County, Pa., July 7, 1886; was born and raised on a farm. A son of Michael Shearer. He is retired, and of Jennie (Barton) Shearer, who died in 1886. D. M. Shearer attended the schools of Lock Township. He was a fireman on the main line of the Penna R.R. for two years, and for seventeen years he has been Master Mechanic for the Tuscarora Valley Railroad. He owns a farm of one hundred acres. During the World War was a master mechanic for the above named railroad. He is a Democrat in politics; has a sister, Sadie, married to John Diven, Huntingdon County, Pa.; they are farmers. One brother deceased, Herman, who died when six years of age. D. M. Shearer was married to Florence Huey. She was a trained nurse, a daughter of William and Catharine Henry, of Waterford, Pa. They have three sons: Clyde, at home, a graduate of the Port Royal High School; Clair, at home; Wayde, at school,. One daughter, Catharine, at home. D. M. Shearer is a practical railroad man and is conversant with all that is necessary for the maintenance of this transportation business. Note: David M. Shearer, 33, Florence E. Shearer, 34, Clyde V. Shearer, 11, Clair M. Shearer, 9, Catharine J. Shearer, 7, and H. McHael, 65, are listed in the 1920 Lack Township, Juniata County census.
