Superintendent, Supplee-Wills-Jones Milk Co.: Was born at Yellow Creek, Bedford Co., Pa., Oct. 10, 1898. Began his schooling at the Yellow Creek schools; also at the Defiance High School; a son of Francis A. Smith, who died June 17, 1928, aged sixty-two years. He was with the Colonial Iron Co., Riddlesburg, Pa., for forty years. His mother before marriage was Savilla Grace; mother is living. Thomas Venton Smith was with the Colonial Iron Co. for five years; two years with Day & Zimerman, Williamsburg, Pa., as steel worker, Penn Central Plant; seven years with Supplee-Wills-Jones Milk Co., a Philadelphia corporation, at Williamsburg; three years with this firm at Huntingdon as its superintendent. He and his wife belong to the Lutheran church. A member of the I.O.O.F., Huntingdon, Pa.; Modern Woodmen, Williamsburg, Pa. A Republican. Has two brothers: Clifford, Akron, Ohio, with Firestone Rubber Works; also Victor, Akron, Ohio. Sisters are: Mary Jane, married to Luther Bowman, Lewistown, Pa.; Reba, married to Harry Smouse, East Liverpool, Ohio; Lulu, married to Venton Wise, Lansing, Mich.; Emma, married to Charles Bowman, Akron, Ohio; Margaret, at home. Thomas Venton Smith was married to Winifred J. Focht, a daughter of Adam and Cort Focht. Adam Focht is a steam foreman, West Virginia Pulp and Paper Co. Mr. and Mrs. Smith have one daughter, Lena May, six years of age, at school; one son, Richard Dean, eight years, at school.
