STEVER Cassville, Huntingdon Co., Pa. Merchant and Postmaster: Born and raised on a farm. Harper W. Stever was born Sept. 5, 1879, at Cassville, Huntingdon Co., Pa. At the place of his birth he first acquired the rudiments of an education. Martin Stever was his father, who died in 1889, aged forty-two years; his mother is Alice (Wilson) Stever, now residing at Cassville, a respected citizen. Harper W. Stever was a farmer for three years. For eleven years he has been the postmaster at Cassville, and in connection with this office conducts a general mercantile business. He was appointed under the Wilson administration; has held borough offices at Cassville at various times; belongs to the Lutheran church, Cassville, Pa.; during the World War was engaged in business. A Republican in politics. A member of the Masonic Fraternity, Cromwell Lodge, Orbisonia, Pa.; Harrisburg Consistory; a Shriner; also the Grange, No. 1210, Calvin, Pa. He has one brother, Louis, Windber, Pa. Harper W. Stever was married to Ella Querry, daughter of John and Alleta Querry, of Cassville, Pa. Mr. Stever has established a business through honorable and upright business methods. A well known man, and the patrons at this place can be assured of good treatment.
