H. B. STEWART Porter Township, Huntingdon Co., Pa. Greenlawn Service Station: About midway between Huntingdon, Pa., and Alexandria, Pa., is the Greenlawn Service Station and eating place; also for the sale of ice cream and confections. This place is presided over by Mrs. H. B. Stewart, wife of H. B. Stewart. Mrs. Stewart is the daughter of Jeremiah C. Brenneman, a Civil War veteran of Co. C, 125th Penna. Vol. Inf., who fought at the battle of Antietam. He was a farmer, who died at the age of seventy-eight years. Her mother was Mary Ann (Kyles) Brenneman; she died in October, 1926, aged seventy- eight years. This service station was established five years ago. Mr. Stewart conducts a farm of 102 acres, specializing in dairying. He was County Commissioner of Huntingdon County. Has been School Director of Porter Township. Mrs. Stewart and her husband are Baptists, members of the Huntingdon Baptist Church. She belongs to the P.O. of A., an auxiliary of the P.O.S. of A., Huntingdon, Pa. She has three brothers: John R. Brenneman, Huntingdon, Pa., a Spanish-American War veteran; Oscar, a farmer, Porter Township; Jesse, a farmer, Sinking Valley. Two sisters: Bessie, married to John C. Shuldt, Porter Township; Mary, married to Gerry Coffman, a farmer, Porter Township. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart have three sons: Warren, married to Edna Kyper, Huntingdon, Pa.; Lester, a Sophomore, State College, and George, thirteen years of age, a Junior in the Alexandria High School. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart have for a long time been associated with the activities of Porter Township. They are well known and have a host of friends. She has built up through courteous treatment to patrons and tourists a large business which increases as the place becomes better known. Note: Harry B. Stewart, 49, Lula Stewart, 42, Warren Stewart, 19, Lester Stewart, 11, and George Stewart, 3 9/12, are listed in the 1920 Porter Township, Huntingdon County census. Harry W. Stewart, 66, Lulu F. Stewart, 52, Lester G. Stewart, 22, and George W. Stewart, 13, are listed in the 1930 Porter Township, Huntingdon County census.
