Mortician: He was born at Petersburg, Pa., August 19, 1862. A son of Thomas Jefferson Temple, who was a Civil War veteran, Co. H, 15th Penna. Vol. Inf. He was a carpenter. Died in 1912. He married Catharine Huller, a daughter of Elias Huller; she resides at Huntingdon, Pa. Isaac Cannon Temple attended the grade schools of Petersburg, Pa. He was elected a school teacher in Dakota; sickness prevented him from following this profession. He was a contractor and builder; followed millwrighting for seven years. He has been a mortician for thirty years, at Petersburg, Pa. he served on Borough Council for seven years. A member of the Presbyterian church and Sunday School; an elder in the church for twenty years. A Democrat. He belongs to he Modern Woodmen of America. He ahs one sister, Harriet, married to Grant Piper, Petersburg, Pa.; one sister, Amelia, deceased. Isaac Caron Temple was married to Laura R. Forrest, a daughter of John and Sarah Forrest; she died Jan. 1, 1928. The sons are: Samuel, deceased; Robert Bruce, married to Frances Travil, Philipsburg, Pa., manager of Oriole Store; Thomas Henry, at Honolulu, Hawaii, in government service; Phillip B., Petersburg, Pa., associated with his father in funeral directing. Daughters are: Lena M., married to Charles Neff, in Secret Service, Washington, D.C.; Mary Jane, at home; Alice, deceased; Esther R., married to Norman M. Clemens, Wilkinsburg, Pa., a telegraph operator; Frances W., and Bertha E., at home; Harriet D. is deceased, aged twenty-two years; she was a school teacher. The business is conducted under the firm name of I. C. Temple & Son. They have built a modern funeral home, with all conveniences for those who desire a public or private funeral. Calls for service are attended to at all times, day or night.
