Manager Weaver's Store: Was born at Aitch, Huntingdon Co., Pa., December 15, 1899; began his first schooling at Smithfield Township, Huntingdon Co., Pa., after which he attended the Huntingdon High School for a period of two years. A son of I. O. and Daisy M. (McCaffery) Weaver, both residing in Smithfield Township. G. E. Weaver has been manager for seventeen years of the Weaver store, general merchandise and service station. Is a veteran of the World War; enlisted at Huntingdon, Pa., in Company F, 8th Regiment, 28th Division; embarked at Hoboken, New Jersey; went on (Aquitania); arrived at Southampton, England; crossed channel to Calais, France; to the Marne; into action July 14, 1918, to October 9, 1918. Was gassed. Enlisted May 28, 1917; discharged May 7, 1919. Mr. Weaver and his wife are members of the Lutheran Church of Huntingdon, Pa. Is auditor of Smithfield township; belongs to American Legion, No. 28, Huntingdon, Pa.; P.O.S. of A., No. 321, Huntingdon, Pa. Has one brother, Charles, at home; one sister, Mrs. Margaretta Wolfe, Huntingdon, Pa. G. E. Weaver was married to Mary Wolfe, a daughter of Geo. W. Wolfe. They have one daughter, Geraldine, nine years, and one son, George Edward, four years. Note: Ira O. Weaver, 55, Daisy M. Weaver, 49, Geo E. Weaver, 30, Chas A. Weaver, 22, Mary E.
