Blacksmith and Wagon Maker: Born at Mifflin, Juniata County, Pa., August 31, 1875. A son of David Wolfgang; he was a carpenter; owned a farm of one hundred and fifty acres, the old homestead; died in February, 1923, at the age of seventy-two. He was married to Elizabeth (Goshorn) Wolfgang; died in March, 1923, at the age of seventy-one years. Banks Wolfgang was raised on the farm; began his schooling at Mount Hope, Fermanah township, Juniata County, Pa; he has done farming, was a carpenter, and for thirty years has been a blacksmith and wagon maker. He belongs to the Presbyterian Church; wife a church member; he is an elder and Sunday School teacher. During the World War was registered, but not called to the colors. He is a Democrat. Has five brothers: Henry, a miller at Idaho Falls, Idaho; John, a carpenter, married to Minnie Leonard, Lewistown, Pa.; Joseph, a carpenter, married to Alice Norton, Lewistown, Pa.; Lloyd, a carpenter, Lewistown, Pa., married to Edith Zook; Grover, a carpenter, married to Mary Walters, Port Royal, Pa., Two brothers deceased, George, twenty-two years, and David, twenty-three years. Sisters are: Ada, Lewistown, Pa.; Bertha, married to Bratton Van Zant, Harrisburg, Pa.; Cora, Philadelphia, Pa. Banks Wolfgang was married to Lucy Love; she died April 1, 1921. He remarried Bessie Gray, a daughter of Harvey and Barbara Gray, of Juniata County, Pa.
