L. WRIGHT Colfax, Huntingdon Co., Pa. Farmer: W. L. Wright was born on a farm, January 15, 1865, in Union township, Huntingdon Co., Pa. Attended the public schools of Union township and a preparatory school at Orbisonia, Pa., in 1882; also Cassville summer school. He taught two terms in Union township and one term in Penn township. A son of A. W. Wright, who died in 1912, aged seventy-nine years, and of Mary (Matthias) Wright, who died in 1924, aged eighty-nine years. His grandfather was Abram Wright. Mr. Wright's farm contains 164 acres, devoted to dairying and the raising of the famous Trough Creek Valley potatoes. His son has the family homestead, a farm containing 136 acres. Mr. Wright has served many times on the election board. Is a Republican. Three deceased brothers: George W. Wright, married to Mary Dell; Watson W., deceased, aged 70; Hutchison died in infancy. W. L. Wright was married to Margarie Greenland, daughter of Barton and Susan Greenland, They have three sons: LeRoy, married to Florine Swope, Altoona, Pa.; Robert William, married to Amy Sassaman, Altoona, Pa.; Walter G., married to Gladys Wilson, Union township, Huntingdon Co., Pa.; one daughter, Catherine; one child died in infancy. Mr. Wright comes of a class of people and from a section of the county that has sent out into the world a type of men and women who make good in any community. Note: William L. Wright, 53, Margery H. Wright, 51, Leroy R. Wright, 26, Robert M. Wright, 18, Walter G. Wright, 17, and Catherine L. Wright, 14, are listed in the 1920 Union Township, Huntingdon County census.
