The Petition of Thomas Beatty intermarried with Jane Moreland widow of 
Thomas Moreland late of Springfield township decd. was read setting 
forth that the said Thomas Moreland left issue one child named Mary 
Jane a minor under the age of fourteen years, who has no person legally 
authorized to take care of her estate, and praying the court to appoint 
some suitable person for said purpose.  Whereupon the Court appoint 
John (*) Jameson guardian of the said minor on his giving bail in $700.

Additional Comments:
There is no date on the document.  Mary Jane Moreland was born about 
1830.  Her father, Thomas, died about 1838.
