1853 No 42. The Petition of Margaret Jane and Robert Speer, Minor
children of Robert Speer late of Capville Deceased, was read setting
forth - That their Father Robert Speer died intestate leaving an estate
of Several thousand dollars to be divided amongst his children, Seven in
number - That they are minors over the age of Fourteen years and have no
person authorized to take charge of their persons a estate. That from
the nature of their said estate and the situation in regard to their
education and support, a guardian or guardians Should be appointed for
them and Suggested Joshua Greenland as a suitable person as guardian of
Margaret Jane, and for Robert Nicholas Corbin, both of Capville
--Whereupon January 20" 1853 it is considered and Joshua Greenland
appointed guardian of Margaret Jane, and Nicholas Corbin appointed
guardian of Robert Speer. Each to give land with surety in the sum of
$600.--
