All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm __________________________________________ Allegheny Township Written: April 1, 1841 Recorded: April 12, 1841 Huntingdon County PA Deed Book C-2 pages 8-9 David Albaugh & wife to David Koon and Samuel Koon This Indenture made the first day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one between David Albaugh of Allegheny Township, Huntingdon County and state of Pennsylvania yeoman, and Elizabeth his wife of the one part and David Koon and Samuel Koon of the Township, County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said David Albaugh and Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration of the sum of five thousand six hundred and eighteen dollars good and lawful money of the United States to them in hand paid by the said David Koon and Samuel Koon and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt and payment whereof they hereby acknowledge and thereof acquit and forever discharge the said David Koon and Samuel Koon their heirs, executors, and administrators by these presents have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released and confirmed and by these presents, do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said David Koon and Samuel Koon and to their heirs and assigns all that tract and plantation of land situate in Allegheny Township bounded by lands of Jacob Stiffler, Joseph Christy and Michael Thompson containing two hundred and thirteen acres more or less (being part of a tract of land patented the nineteen day of December AD 1815 to Charles Huston, as surviving assignee of Michael T. Simpson in trust for the use of his creditors and conveyed by the said Charles Huston assignee as aforesaid by R. Allison, his attorney, in fact, to David Albaugh deceased, father of the grantor herein mentioned by Deed the 24th day of March AD 1818 and which said parts of said tract of land was excepted by David Albaugh Grantor herein named at the valuation thereof under a proceeding in the Orphans Court of Huntingdon County to value and divide the same) Together with all and singular the buildings and improvements, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and the reversions, remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof and also the estate, right title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of them the said David Albaugh and Elizabeth his wife in law equity or otherwise howsoever of in to or out of the same. To have and to hold the said tract and plantation of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto them the said David Koon and Samuel Koon their heirs and assigns. To the only purpose use benefit and behoof of the said David Koon and Samuel Koon their heirs and assigns forever And the said David Albaugh and Elizabeth his wife their heirs executors, administrators do hereby covenant, grant and agree to and with the said David Koon and Samuel Koon, their heirs and assigns by these presents that they the said David Albaugh and Elizabeth his wife their heirs the above mentioned and described premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said David Koon and Samuel Koon their heirs and assigns against the said David Albaugh and Elizabeth his wife and their heirs and assigns and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the said tract of land containing two hundred and thirteen acres more or less shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof the said parties have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and year first above written. Galbraith Received on the day of the date of the above Indenture of and from the above named David Koon and Samuel Koon five thousand six hundred and eighteen dollars in full for the consideration money above mentioned. Galbraith State of Pennsylvania County of Huntingdon SS Before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said County personally came the above named David Albaugh and Elizabeth his wife and acknowledged the above indenture to be their act and deed to the end that the same might be recorded as such. She the said Elizabeth being of full age and by me separately and apart from her said husband examined and the contents of the said indenture being by me fully made known to her on her said private examination she declared that she voluntarily and of her own free will and accord and without any coercion or compulsion on the part of her husband did sign, seal and execute the same.
