All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Nancy Lorz honeypete@certainty.net January 11, 2008, 9:40 pm Written: October 8, 1859 Recorded: November 18, 1861 This indenture made the eighth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fiftynine between Elizabeth Erwin of Shirley Township Huntingdon County and State of Pennsylvania of the one part and George Beaty of the township County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Elizabeth Erwin for and in consideration of the sum of ten Dollars unto her well and truly paid by the said George Beaty at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, and confirm, unto the said George Beaty his Heirs and Assigns, all that piece or parcel of ground in Shirley township, Huntingdon County and State of pennsylvania and bounded as follows, to wit, Beginning at a white oak thence North seventy degrees west forty four perches to a (/)maple thence North sixty five degrees West fifty perches to stones adjoining other lands of Elizabeth Erwin thence North twenty five degrees East sixty four perches to rocks thence North thirtyfour degrees East to rocks adjoining lands of the heirs of Daniel Roberts deceased thence by lands of John Siddens survey South sixty degrees east eighty perches to a post thence by lands of Hugh King South twenty degrees West eighty perches to the place of beginning, Containing fortysix acres and allowance. It being a part of the mansion tract Belonging to Elizabeth Erwin. Together with all and singular the Buikldings woods ways, Waters, Watercourses, Rights, Liberties, Privileges, Hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the reversions and remainders, Rents Issues and Profits thereof; and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of the fortysix acres and allowance of six percent in law equity, or otherwise howsoever, of, in, and to the same and every part thereof, To have and to hold the said forty six acres and allowance of six per cent with the Hereditaments and Premises hereby granted, or mentioned and intended so to be, with the Appurtenances, thereunto belonging unto the said George Beaty his Heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said George Beaty his Heirs and Assigns forever. And the said Elizabeth Erwin for herself her Heirs, Executors and Administrators, Do by these presents, covenant, grant, and agree to and with the said George Beaty his Heirs and Assigns, that she the said Elizabeth Erwin for herself her Heirs, all and singular the Hereditaments and Premises herein above described and granted, or mentioned and intended so to be with the Appurtenances, unto the said George Beaty his Heirs and Assigns, , against she the said Elizabeth Erwin her Heirs, and against all and every other Person or Persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part there of shall and will warrant and forever defend. In witness whereof, the said parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seals Dated the day and year first above written. On the day of the date before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace for said County of huntingdon personally came Elizabeth Erwin and acknowledged the above Indenture to be her act and hand and seal the day and year above written.
