Barkley. No Stamp Required. This Indenture made this first day of August one thousand eight hundred and fifty three Between Peter Crownover of Shirley Township Huntingdon County & state of Pennsylvania and Cathrin his wife of the one part and James & William Barkley of the township county and state aforesaid Witnesseth that the said Peter Crownover and Cathrin his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars to them in hand paid by the said James and William Barkley at or before the ensealing and delivering hereof the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and forever discharge the said James & William Barkley their heirs executors administrators by th4ese presents have granted bargened sold aliened enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargin sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto the said James & William Barkley and to their heirs and assigns all the hereafter described piece or lot of land situate in the Township county and state aforesaid Bounded and described as folows Beginning at post corner next the shad mountin thence by lands of John Gifford north 63 degrees west one hundred and fifty perches to post thence by the same south twenty one degrees west twenty two perches to post thence by land of Thos. Crownover deceased being a part of the same tract thence south forty five & half degrees east one hundred and twenty perches to post thence north forty nine degrees east seventy perches to the place of beginning Containing thirty two acres and one hundred and twenty perches and the usual alowance of six per cent the same being a part of a larger tract of land which Daniel Crownover by his last will and testament bearing date the twenty ninth day of June one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight did give and bequeath unto Thomas Crownover thence convaied to John Hansen by Thomas Crownover by deed bearing date first april one thousand eight hundred and forty eight thence by John Hansand to Peter Crownover by deed bearing the same date the party of the first Together with all and singular other the houses out houses buildings barns stables ways wood watters water courses wrights liberteys privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said Peter Crownover and Cathrin his wife in law and equity or otherwise howsoever of in to or out of the same. To have and To hold the said described piece of land as aforesaid hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned an intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said James & William Barkley their heirs and assigns to the only use and behoof of the said James & William Barkley their heirs and assigns forever. And the said Peter Crownover Cathrin his wife for themselves and their heirs do promise grant and agree to and with the said James & William Barkley their heirs and assigns by these presents that they the said Peter Crownover & Catherin his wife and their heirs the above described piece or lot of land hereby granted bargained and sold with the appurtenances unto the said James & William Barkley their heirs and assigns.
