All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ________________________________________________ JACOB CURFFMAN TO JOHN CLARK This Indenture made and concluded by and between Jacob Curfman of Farefield County and State of Ohio of the one part and John Clark of the County of Huntingdon and State of Penn of the other part Witnesseth that the said Jacob Curffman for & in consideration of the sum of Fourteen hundred and fifty one dollars specia to him in hand payed or secured to be payed by the said John Clark at or before the ensealing & delivery of these presents the receipt where off the said Jacob doth hereby acknowledge Hath bargained & sold and by these presents doeth grant bargain and sell alien and en___ unto the said John Clark his Heires executors administrators and assigns all and singular that Tract of land situate lying and being in Union Township and County of Huntingdon Beginning at a gum thence by land of Wilkeron Lane west one hundred and ninety five perches to a white oak south fifteen degrees west thrity eight perches to a post thence north eight degrees West eighteen perches to a post thence by land of Colonel Boquet north seventeen degrees west one hundred and fifty perches to a white oak thence by land of Richard Shirley and Peter Hartsock north sixty eight degrees and one half east two hundred and fifty eight perches to a white oak and south sixty degrees east thirty perches to a post thence by Rocky Ridge south three degrees & one half east one hundred and ninety perches to the place of Beginning containing two hundred & fifty one acres and allowance of six per cent for Roads __ Surveyed on pursuance of a Warrant to William Corben dated the tenth day of March one thousand seven hundred and eighty five Beint the same Tract of land which the afforsaid William Corben conveyed to the afforsaid Jacob Kurffman by Indenture bearing date 27th day of January 1791 _ also one other tract of Land situate lying and being in the afforsaid township and County adjoining the affore mentioned tract of land Beginning at a post on Curffmans line and funning north three and one half degrees West one hundred and thirty eight perches to a Hycory thence south sixty degrees east thirty perches to a white oak thence north seventy nine degrees east ninety five perches to a white oak thence north fifty two degrees east twenty perches to a white oak thence south seventy three degrees east forty six perches to a post thence south eleven degrees West two hundred and eight & one half perches to a post thence West eighty four perches to the place of Beginning containing one hundred & eleven acres and three quarters of an acre and allowance of six per cent for roads & _ with the apurtainances which said tract was surveyed in pursuance of a warrant granted bareing date 22d day of Dec. 1792. To John Taylor a patent for which is not yet Isued Togather with all and singular the rights members priviledges improvements herediatiments and apurtainances thereto Lawfully belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions and remainders rents isues & proffits thereof and all the estate right table interest clame and demand whatsoever of the said Jacob Curffman of in and to the same and every part thereof To Have and To Hold the above Tracts of land and the said Jacob Curffman for himself his heires Executors administrators and assigns and for every of them doth covenant promis grant and agree to and with the said John Clark his Heires Executors administrators and assigns that he the said Jacob Curffman his heire Executors administrator and assigns the afforsaid Tract of Land and premises hereby granted mentioned & intended so to be with the apurtainances unto the said John Clark his Heires Executors administrators and assigns and against all persons or manner of persons Lawfully clameing or to clame by from or under him them or any of them and agains allpersons whatsoever w___ warrant & forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof the ___ Jacob Curffman hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal this sixteenth day of April 1804 one thousand eight hundred four.
