Devor and wife To Martin P. Doyle This Indenture made Fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seventy two Between Basil J. Devor of the Borough of Mount Union County of Huntingdon and State of Pennsylvania and Margaret J. his wife of the first part and Martin P. Doyle of Johnstown County of Cambria and State aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Four thousand and Sixteen dollars and Sixty Six cents ($4016. 66/100) lawful money of the United States of America unto them well and truly paid by the said party of the second part at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents Do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns All of the undivided one half part of those two lots of ground in the borough of Mount Union viz: 1/2 of lot numbered thirty three in the recorded town plot of Mount Union fronting fifty feet on Water Street and fifty feet on the Pennsylvania Canal and fronting on Washington Street from Water Street to Pennsylvania Canal on which is erected a two story frame steam grist mill together with all the machinery and fixtures used in said grist mill and owned by the party of the first part. Also the undivided one half part of lot numbered thirty six in the town plot aforesaid adjoining lot numbered thirty three and fronting fifty feet on Water Street and extending in depth to the Pennsylvania Canal on which is erected a two story frame dwelling house. Also the undivided one half part of two lots fronting on the South side of Water Street and numbered thirty two and thirty five in the town plot aforesaid fronting one hundred feet on Water Street from the corner of Washington and Water Street westwardly and fronting Seventy feet on Washington Street from South west corner of Washington and Water Street Southwardly also part of lot numbered forty eight viz: the undivided one half part of twenty feet fronting on Water Street and extending in depth to Pennsylvania Canal and adjoining lot numbered forty five in town plot aforesaid. It being part of the same premises or part of the same which John Bare and Eveline his wife by Indenture bearing date the first day of January A D 1872 for the consideration therein mentioned did grant and confirm unto William Fields his heirs and assigns forever as in and by the said in part recited Indenture recorded in the office for recording of Deeds at Huntingdon for the County of Huntingdon in Deed Book B No 3 page 198 &c. relation being thereunto had more fully and at large appears. It being part of the same premises which the said William Fields and Kezia his wife by Indenture bearing date the Sixth day of June A D 1872 for the consideration therein mentioned did grant and confirm to the said Basil J. Devor (party hereto) his heirs and assign forever as in and by the said in part recited Indenture recorded in the office for recording of deeds at Huntingdon for the County of Huntingdon in Deed Book Vol. C No 3 page 141 &c. relation being thereunto had more freely and at large appears. Together with all and singular the buildings improvements ways waters water courses rights liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part in law equity or otherwise howsoever of in and to the same and every part thereof. To Have and To Hold the said lots and parcels of ground together with the buildings and machinery as also an office building now standing on Washington Street in the said Borough of Mount Union together with the improvements and machinery hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And Basil J. Devor and Margaret J. his wife the said parties of the first part their heirs executors and administrators do by these presents covenant grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that they the said parties of the first part and their heirs all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against them the said parties of the first part and their heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof by from or under them or any of them Shall and Will Warrant and forever defend. Doyle the sum of Four thousand and Sixteen Dollars and Sixty Six cents lawful money of the United States being the consideration money above mentioned in full Witness B. J. Devor Jacob McIntyre On the Fourth day of November Anno Domini 1872 before me a Justice of the Peace in and for the said County of Huntingdon came the above Basil J. Devor and Margaret J. his wife and acknowledged the above Indenture to be their act and deed and desired that the same might be recorded as such. She the said Margaret J. being of full age and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the said Indenture being first made fully known to her declared that she did of her own free will and accord sign and seal and as her act and deed deliver the same without any coercion of compulsion of her said husband.
