All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm __________________________________________ Record Book P-1 p. 300 JAMES LEE AND WIFE TO ROBERT LEE Know all men by these presents Whereas Richard Neave the Elder and Richard Neave the younger by their Deed bearing date the twenty ninth day of august in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety three for the Consideration therein mentioned did grant, bargain and sell unto John Wilson of Tyrone Township in the County of Huntingdon his heirs and assigns all that Tract of Land situate at the mouth of the south Ree? called the dry upland in the County of Huntingdon and Township of Huntingdon beginning at a white oak in a line of Thomas Goldens land and with a line thereof and the land of John Miner north fifty three degrees west two hundred and ninety six perches to a post, thence by vacant land south thirty seven degrees west one hundred and ninety perches to post a corner of Alexander W. Toglans land, and with a line thereof south fifty three degrees East two hundred and ninety six perches to a post, thence by vacant land north thirty seven degrees East one hundred and ninety perches to the white oak at place of beginning containing three hundred and thirty one acres and ninety six perches, and the usual allowance of six percent for roads & being the same tract of land which was surveyed the third day of June in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty five to James Dalton, in pursuance of a warrant dated the second day of June one thousand seven hundred and sixty two, then in the County of Cumberland but now in the County of Huntingdon aforesaid reference to the said Deed Recorded in the Recorders office for the County of Huntingdon in Book O. page 402 the sixth day of July 1815 [Reference?] thereto being had will more at large appear. And Robert Wilson and Jane Wilson Administration of all and singular the Goods and chattels rights and credits which were of the above named John Wilson deceased in pursuance of an order and decree of the orphans Court, for the County of Huntingdon aforesaid by their Deed bearing date the twelfth day of may in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and ninity five Recorded in Book O. page 403 the sixth day of July 1815 for the consideration therein mentioned did grant Bargain and Sell, release and Confirm, unto Robert Lee then of the County of Franklin in the State of Pennsylvania (but late of the County of Huntingdon and now deceased) all the above mentioned and described Tract of land with the Hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to him his heirs and assigns for ever, reference there unto being had may more full appear, And the said Robert Lee in his lifetime sold and conveyed unto Ludowick Hoover the one half of the before mentioned and described tract of Land being the Easterly end thereof (or one hundred and sixty five acres thereof) And the said Robert Lee deceased by his last Will and Testament bearing date the thirteenth day of June in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and three duly proved and Recorded, in the Registers office for the County of Huntingdon did de??re and bequeath unto his eldest son James Lee all the residue of the before mentioned and described Tract of land to be freely and fully possessed and enjoyed by him his heirs and assigns forever Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said James Lee the Eldest son of the said Robert Lee deceased and Rachel his wife for and consideration of the sum of two hundred pounds lawful money of Pennsylvania to them in hand well and truly paid by Robert Lee (the only brother of the said James) the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, as well as for other good causes, and considerations have granted bargained, and sold aliened enfeoffed, released and confirmed, and by these presents do, grant, bargain, alien, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said Robert Lee, a certain piece or part of the residence of the beforementioned Tract of land Bequeathed to the said James by the last Will and testament of the said Robert Lee deceased, Beginning at a post in the line of Alexander W. Taglans, now Daniel Stauffers Land on the south west side of a run and runing there with a line of Ludowick Hoovers land north thirty seven degrees east ninety eight perches to a post near a marked white oak thence by the said James Lees land north fifty three degrees west one hundred and fifty perches to a post, thence by a Tract of the mannor Land, now John Canans south thirty seven degrees west ninety eight perches to a post thence with the line of Alexander W. Taglans now Daniel Stauffers land south fifty three degrees East one hundred and fifty perches to the post and place of Beginning containing Eighty six acres and fourteen perches, and the usual allowance of six percent for Roads &c. Together with all and singular the rights liberties priveliges immunities Hereditaments and Appurtenances whatsoever to the last mentioned and described tract of land of eight six acres & fourteen perches, belonging or in any wise appertaining and the revertions, rents issues and profits thereof, and all the Estate right Title and Interest, eigher in law or equity of them the said James Lee and Rachel his wife of into or out of the same. To have and to hold, all and singular the hereby granted premises with the appurtenances unto the said Robert Lee his heirs and assigns to his and them only proper use benefit and behoof forever, and the said James Lee and Rachel his wife, and their heirs all and singular the hereby granted premises with the appurtenances unto the said Robert Lee his heirs and assigns, against themselves and their heirs, and against all manner of persons whatsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same will warrant and forever defend. Stewart James Lee Huntingdon County SS Personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for the county aforesaid James Lee and Rachel his wife and acknowledged the foregoing deed to be their act and deed for the purpose therein mentioned and desired the same might be recorded as such the said Rachel being of full age and examined by me separate and apart from her husband and the contents thereof fully made known to her, acknowledged that she executed and delivered the same voluntarily and without any compulsion or coertion of her said Husband In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 20th day of march A.D. 1818 Ths.
