Henderson Before me one of the Justices of the peace in and for the county aforesaid personally appears Robert Allison who being duly sworn according to law did depose and say that he was well acquainted with Andrew Henderson in his lifetime now deceased that he repeatedly seen him write and sign his name having for many years lived with him that the above emancipation in writing is in the handwriting of the said Andrew and that the name A. Henderson thereto subscribed as a witness and also indorsement on this paper in the word "emancipation or promised Daniel Moore to Negro Jack left in my hands or my executors or administration Andrew Henderson 23rd August 1803 is the proper hand writing of the said Andrew Henderson to the best of this deponents knowledge and belief and further saith not.
