MAUDE CUMMINGS AND HUSBAND, ET AL TO G. EDGAR RUPERT AND WIFE This deed made in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight (1938). Between Maude Cumming and Harry Cumming, her husband; Carey N. Rupert and Marjorie Rupert, his wife, and Oscar C. Rupert, all of the City of Altoona, County or Blair and State or Pennsylvania Grantors and G. Edgar Rupert and Lena N. Rupert, his wife, tenants by the entireties both of the Borough of Huntingdon, County of Huntingdon and. State of Pennsylvania, Grantees, WITNESSETH, that in consideration of Twenty Four Hundred ($2400.00) Dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said grantors do hereby grant and convey to the said grantees their heirs and assigns, ALL their right, title and interest in and to all that certain half lot of ground situated in the Borough of Huntingdon, County of Huntingdon and State of Pennsylvania, fronting twenty five (25) feet on the eastern side of. Washington Street, and extending back there from of equal width, one hundred and fifty (150) feet to an alley, being the southern half of lot numbered 175 in J. Edgar Thompson's Addition to the Borough of Huntingdon, also the exclusive right and privilege to use for the purpose of an alleyway in connection with the above premises a strip of ground adjoining the same and being part of lot numbered 170, in the same plan of lots and being a strip on the northern side of said lot numbered 170 lying between the brick building erected thereon and the line dividing lots numbered 170 and 175 and being of the width of three (3) feet more or less, Said trip of ground extending from Washington Street to the rear of the brick building on lot numbered 170. Reserving however, to the owner of lot numbered 170 to extend the eaves of the roof of the house thereon upon and over said strip of ground, provided that the same shall be done and maintained as not to interfere in any way with the free use of said alley for the purpose mentioned. Having thereon erected a two-story frame dwelling house and other Outbuildings. Being the same lot of ground which Margaret A. Noel by her deed dated October 11, 1907, recorded in Deed Book "R" No. 5, Page 277, granted and conveyed to Annie D. Rupert, and the said Annie D. Rupert by her deed dated February 27, 1935, recorded In Deed Book "0" No. 7, Page 260, granted and conveyed the above described lot to G. Edgar Rupert, Maude Cummins, Carey M. Rupert and Oscar C. Rupert, the last~ three grantees now join in this deed for the purpose o conveying their right, title and interest to the said G, Edgar Rupert, one of the Grantees herein. And the said grantor will warrant generally the property hereby conveyed, In witness whereof, said grantors have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written. Rupert, his wife, of the Borough of Huntingdon, County of Huntingdon and state of Pennsylvania. Grantors and Edwin I. Harshbarger and Maris J. Harshbarger his wife, of the Borough of Huntingdon, County of Huntingdon, state of Pennsylvania, as tenants by the Entiretice Grantees, ~Witnesseth that in consideration of ONE Dollar in hand paid, the receipt whereof Is here-by acknowledged, the said grantors do hereby grant and convey to the said grantees, themselves their heirs and assigns. All that certain place, parcel and lot of ground situated in the Borough of Huntingdon, County of Huntingdon and state of Pennsylvania, bounded and described as follows to wit: Fronting sixteen and one half (l6-1/2) feet on the East Side of Portland Avenue and extending back of equal width at right angle thereto one hundred (100) feet to Cherry Alley. Being the northern part of lot numbered 2 and 4 feet of the Southern part of lot numbered 3 in the recorded plan of James Ports Addition to the Borough of Huntingdon. Having thereon erected a frame dwelling house, and being the same lot of ground which was conveyed in the deed of Abraham Wible, dated March 6, 1924 and recorded in Deed Book ~ Vol. 6, page 31 to G. Edger Rupert and Lena M. Rupert hereto.
