Eighteen hundred and Fifty- Five. Between Adam Rupert of Henderson Township, in this County of Huntingdon and State of Pennsylvania, and Mary his wife of the one part and Adam Rupert Junior, of the same township, county and State of the other part. Witness that the said Adam Rupert and Mary his wife for and in the consideration of the sum of Two thousand dollars, lawful money of the United States to them in hand well and truly paid by the said Adam Rupert Junior, at or before the sealing and delivery of theses presents, the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargain, sold, aliened, ______, released and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, ______, release, and confirm unto the said Adam Rupert Junior his heirs and assigns; All that certain tract or parcel of land situate in Henderson township and County of Huntingdon, aforesaid bounded by and adjoining lands of Samuel Goodman, Martin Graffin's heirs, George Miller and others, containing Two Hundred and Seventeen Acres and One Hundred and Forty-Eight perches and allowance, being part of a larger tract of land for whish warrant was granted, dated the 5th day of September 1794, and surveyed for John Goodman the 22nd day of April 1797. And the same part said tract which Mathias Coplin and by deed dated 17th day of March 1825, recorded in the Recorders Office of Huntingdon County Book 5, page 287, granted and conveyed unto John Stewart and his heirs and assigns (except as is hereafter excepted). And by John Stewart and wife conveyed by Deed dated May 9th 1833, unto Adam Rupert, party hereto, his heirs and assigns. Also all the other piece, parcel, or tract of land, adjoining the above, being the same which John Stewart Jr., wife, by their deed bearing date of 3rd day of February 1842, conveyed unto Adam Rupert one of the parties hereto-containing Seven Acres and Ninety-five Perches, surveyed on a warrant in the name of John Stoner. Together with all and singular the buildings, improvements, rights, liberties, privileges, here ______, and _________ whatsoever, thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining (excepting and reversing out the first described tract all that part of said tract plotted off and marked upon the ground and sold to Jacob Dorland by the said John Stewart, and to be taken off the East corner of the said tract, supposed to contain Thirty Acres more or less) To have and too hold the foregoing described Two tracts, piece, parcels, of land (except the afore excepted and containing together Two Hundred acres more or less, unto the said Adam Rupert Jr. and his heirs, and assigns forever. And the said Adam Rupert and his said wife, or for their heirs, executors and administrators doth hereby covenant, promise and agree to and with the said Adam Rupert Sr. his heirs, and assign by these presents that the said Adam Rupert the within and foregoing described Two tracts or parcel of land containing together Two hundred acres of land, be the same more or less (except as afore excepted) unto him the said Adam Rupert Sr., his heirs. Executors, Administrators, and assigns, against himself the said Adam Rupert and Mary his wife and their heirs, Executors, and administrators, and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever lawfully claiming or claim the same, shall and will warrant forever defend by these presents. In testimony where of the parties of these present have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year aforesaid. Before me Justice of the Peace in and for the said county, personally came Adam Rupert and (Mary) his wife and acknowledged the within indenture to be the act and deed and desired that it might be recorded as such. The said Mary being of full age an by me examined separate and apart from her husband, and the full contents of said Indenture being by me fully made known to her and did declare and say that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord, seal and as her act and deed deliver said Indenture without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
