All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm __________________________________________ Duncansville Written: April 16, 1845 Recorded: April 23, 1845 Huntingdon County Pa Deed Book E-2 page 528 Deed Peter Ruth & Mary Maria his wife to Abraham Koon This Indenture made the 16th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five between Peter Ruth of Allegheny Township, Huntingdon County and state of Pennsylvania and Mary Maria his wife of the first part and Abraham Koon of Blair Township, county and state aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred and fifty dollars, lawful money of the United States of America, unto the said parties of the first part well and truly paid, by the party of the second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, All the following described lot of ground situate in the town of Duncansville in said township of Allegheny beginning at a post and corner of a lot sold by the said Peter Ruth & wife to James Ross, thence by the turnpike on Main street 71 degrees West 180 feet to post thence by lands of Daniel C. Gibboney North 19 degrees West 118 feet to a post. North 71 degrees East 180 feet and thence by lot of the said James Ross South 19 degrees East 180 degrees to a post and place of beginning containing one hundred and nineteen perches. Being part of the same tract of land of which Willis Gibboney late of Allegheny Township aforesaid now decd was seized who died intestate and which in due application to the Orphan's Court of the County of Huntingdon an order was granted by said court whereupon the said premises were duly valued and appraised and by the said court adjudged and confirmed unto Daniel C. Gibboney one of the sons and legal representatives of the said Willis Gibboney Esq decd and to his heirs and assigns forever as in and by an exemplification of the records of said court dated at Huntingdon the 14th day of April A. D. 1840 relation being had more fully and at large appears and the said Daniel C. Gibboney together with his wife Sarah M by deed dated the 1st day of May A. D. 1844 conveyed to the said Peter Ruth and Mary Maria Ruth a certain lot of ground which is part etc. Together with all and singular the improvements ways, water, water courses, rights liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever, of the said parties of the first part in law equity or otherwise howsoever of, in and to the same and every part thereof. To have and to Hold the said piece of ground hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And Peter Ruth and Mary Maria his wife, the said parties of the first part for themselves their heirs executors and administrators do by these presents covenant grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof, shall and will warrant and forever defend. In Witness Whereof the said parties of the first part have to these presents set their hands and seals dated the day and year first above written. D. 1845, before me a Justice of the Peace came the above named Peter Ruth and Mary Maria his wife and acknowledged the foregoing Indenture to be his act and deed and desired that the same might be recorded as such. The said Mary Maria Ruth being of full age and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and the full contents of the foregoing Indenture being first made known to her declared she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord sign, seal, and as her act and deed deliver the same without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
