All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ________________________________________________ DEED POLL - GEORGE SHANE & ELIZABETH HIS WIFE TO ADAM HOOVER This Indenture, made the Twenty second Day of July in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred & ninety one Between George Shane of Woodbury Township in the County of Huntingdon and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Yeoman and Elizabeth his wife of the one part, and Adam Hoover of Washington County and State of Maryland of the other part _________ then was granted to George Shane his Heirs & assigns by a Patent from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania bearing date the Eight Day of June, one thousand a seven hundred & ninety one a Tract of Land called Clover Plain Situate on Clover Creek in Morrisons Cove in Frankstown Township Bedford County beginning at a Pine thence by Surveyed Lane South Eighty five Degrees East one hundred & ninety one Perches and a half to a large White oak South fifty nine Degrees East fifty Eight Perches to a white oak thence by ____ys Mountain South Twenty five Degrees West ninety nine perches to a White Oak thence by Stoney Land South Eighty nine Degrees West. Seventy Seven Perches to a white oak thence by Land of _____ Heron North twenty Eight Degrees and an half West Sixty five perches & four tenths to a White Oak thence by _______ North Sixty Degrees West one hundred and nineteen perches to a post and North Thirty five Degrees East seventy nine perches to the Beginning containing one hundred and sixty four acres and one half an half and allowance of six per-Cent for road &c. Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said George Shane and Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds current Money of Pennsylvania to them in hand the said Adam Hoover (the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and of which the said Adam Hoover is Discharged) hath Granted bargained and ____ and by their presents doth Grant bargain and sell unto the said Adam Hoover all and singular the aforesaid or parcel of Land and premises b_____ and described as aforesaid, containing one hundred and sixty four acres and an half and allowance of six per Cent &c. with all and singular the Improvements and buildings thereon _____ and erected ways water woods water Co___ rights Liberties priviledges, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise assertaining the reversions and remainders issues and profits thereof as also all the Estate Right and Title of them the said George Shane and Elizabeth his wife to the land and premises aforesaid.
