All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm __________________________________________ Town of Duncansville Written: November 16, 1841 Recorded: August 13, 1844 Huntingdon County Deed Book E-2 pages 205-206 Deed John Stiffler & wife to James Ross This Indenture made the sixteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one between John Stifler [sic] of Blair Township, Huntingdon County and state of Pennsylvania and Catherine his wife of the one part and James Ross of the township, county, and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John Stifler [sic] and Catherine his wife for and in consideration of the sum of sixty two dollars and fifty cents to them in hand paid by the said James Ross at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged and thereof do aquit and forever discharge the said James Ross, heirs, executors and administrators these presents have bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said James Ross and to his heirs and assigns all that lot of ground situate in the Town of Duncansville, being a dimond [sic] lot and fronting on the dimond [sic] fifty feet and extending back one hundred and seventy feet to Cherry alley bounded on the East by Cross street and on the West by lot No. 27 and numbered No. 26 in the plan of said town (as laid out and marked on the ground by Jacob Walters now decd) recorded in the office for the recording of Deeds in and for the said County of Huntingdon the 16th day of April AD 1828 Book V page 154, reference thereunto being had will more fully and at large appear. Being the same lot of ground which was sold by the executors of the said Jacob Walters decd and by them conveyed to Paron Hamilton by deed dated the 1st day of April A. D. 1836 and the said Paron Hamilton by his assignment endorsed on the back of said deed lawfully executed conveyed the same to the said John Stifler [sic] party hereto. Together with all and singular the improvements, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or an anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof: and also all the estate, right title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of them the said John Stiffler and Catherine his wife in law or equity or otherwise howsoever of, in, to or out of the same. To have and to hold the said described lot of ground hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said James Ross his heirs and assigns to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of the said James Ross heirs and assigns forever and the said John Stifler [sic] and Catherine his wife for their heirs the said described lot of ground hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said James Ross his heirs and assigns, against them the said John Stifler [sic] and Catherine his wife and their heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same by or through them shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
