We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. _________________________________________________ Huntingdon County, PA Deed Book M-1 Pages 305-306 Deed Poll: Peter Will to Samuel Renner This Indenture made the Fourteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and one between Peter of the Borough of Huntingdon & Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Cooper and Mary his wife of the one part and Samuel Renner of the other part. Witnesseth that whereas a certain Hugh Davidson Esq obtained a Deed of the Rev' William Smith D.D. The Proprietor of the town of Huntingdon aforesaid bearing date the fifth day of August one thousand seven hundred & Eighty six for a Lot of Ground in the Town of Huntingdon aforesaid and known and distinguished on the Plan of said Town by the number sixty four under and subject to the ground rent and performances of Covnants therein mentioned as in and by The said recited Deed reference being thereunto had may more fully and at large appear and whereas the aforesaid Hugh Davidson Esq by his Deed bearing date the twenty second day of August one thousand seven hundred and ninety two and for the consideration therein mentioned did sell and make over all his right & title of the above described lot of ground unto Alexander McConnell Esq as in and by the said last recited Deed reference thereunto had may more fully and at large appear and whereas the said Alexander McConnell by Deed Poll under his hand and seal duly Executed bearing date the twenty first day of May one thousand seven hundred and ninety four did grant bargain and sell a certain part of the said recited lot of ground to Peter Will by certain mets & bounds therein mentioned and whereas the said Peter Will by Deed Poll under his hand and seal duly Executed hath Conveyed a part of the aforesaid Lot to William Miller. Know This Indenture Witnesseth that the said Peter Will and Mary his wife for and in consideration of one hundred pounds lawful money of Pennsylvania to them in hand paid by Samuel Renner at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold aliened enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto the said Samuel Renner his Heirs & assigns all the residue and remainder of the said lot of ground so conveyed to the said Peter Will by the said Alexander McConnell after taking off the Westing side by a line Parallel with Montgomery Street thirty feet already conveyed to the said William Miller as aforesaid to hold the said remainder of the said lot of ground and premises to the said Samuel Renner his Heirs and assigns forever subject to the payment of ground rents to the said Rev' Doctor Smith his heirs and assigns in due proportion between the said two parts of the said Lot and the said Peter Will & Margaret his wife for Themselves their heirs Executors and Administrators do Covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Samuel Renner his heirs and assigns the said divided described part of a lot of ground and Premises to wit Beginning at the corner of Allegheny and Montgomery Streets and running westerly by Allegheny Street seventy feet thence Northerly at right angles with Allegheny Street one hundred feet thence Easterly Parallel with Allegheny Street thirty two feet nine inches Thence Southerly & Parallel to Montgomery Street twenty nine feet six inches thence Easterly and Parallel to Allegheny Street twenty two feet three inches to Montgomery Street aforesaid and thence Southerly by the same to the place of the Beginning with the appurtenances to the said Samuel Renner his heirs and assigns against them the said Peter Will and Mary his wife and their heirs and assigns and against all and every other person or Persons whatsoever lawfully claiming or to claim by from or under him Them as any of them or either of Them any estate right title or interest shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents in Witness whereof the said Parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seals dated the day and year last above written.
