STUTER, 89, of Valley View Haven, Belleville, died at 12:10 a.m., Sunday, August 1, 2004, at Valley View Haven. Born January 1, 1915, in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late Ore and Naomi (Hunter) Dixon. Her spouse, John Archie Stuter, died September 19, 1979. Surviving are two children, Josephine Merrell of Huntingdon R.D. 2 and Steven T. Stuter of Lewistown; a grandson, Hunter F. Merrell, and two great-grandsons, Noah and Ethan Merrell. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur Dixon and Merle Dixon and a sister, Ora OBryan. She was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Valley View Haven Chapel, Belleville, with the Revs. Roger Witter and Galen Sharp officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lea Cemetery. Edna M. Hartman-McINTYRE, 83, formerly 120 S. Division St., Taylor Apartments, Mount Union, died at 1:1.0 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 1. 2004, at Woodland Retirement Center in Orbisonia, where she had resided for the past year. Born June 25, 1921, in Mount Union, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Hartman and Margaret Alice Price. She was first married to Thomas W. Flasher who preceded her in death Sept. 4. 1977. Her second union was to Charles McIntyre who preceded her in death in December 1986. She is survived by a daughter, Hazel M. Gilbert of Mount Union, and a son Charles E. Flasher, and his wife, Elizabeth of Lewistown. She is also survived by nine granddaughters; Jessica Ann Flasher. Jennifer Lyn Flasher, Selby R. Flasher, Deborah Bumgardner, Patricia Ruhl, Pamela Flasher, Stephanie Flasher, Mrs. Bruce (Nancy Raylene) Willis and Cathy Jo Shore: and two grandsons, Jeremy S. Flasher and Steven Bradley Gilbert. She is survived by 14 great- grandchildren. A grandson, Gerald Edward Gilbert, preceded her in death July 4, 1974. She is survived by four sisters; Mrs. Morris (Sarah) Dinarti of Mount Union, Helen Reed of Hustontown, Jane Martz of Export and Hazel Donatt of Aurora, Ohio. She was preceded in death by four brothers; James Oliver Hartman, William Hartman, Arthur Lloyd Hartman and Jesse Hartman; and two sisters, Virginia Wagner and LaVonda Jean Hartman. Mrs. Hartman-McIntyre was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Orbisonia. She attended Mount Union schools and was primarily a homemaker. She had been a lifetime resident of Mount Union until first moving to the Shirley Home for the Aged and then to the Malta Home in Granville, before moving to Woodland Retirement Center. Mrs. Hartman-McIntyre enjoyed baking and canning and especially being at home with family. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the Cutright-Speck Funeral Home, 207 Ridge Road, Smithfield Township, Huntingdon, with Pastor Gordon K. Ross officiating. Interment will be made in Jordan Cemetery, Cromwell Township, Orbisonia. Ronald L. "Hambone" HAMMOND, 45, of 1010 Cameron Ave., Tyrone, died at 11:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at his residence. Born Oct. 11, 1958, in Tyrone, he was the son of James D. and Ruth L. (Noel) Hammond. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters; James D. Hammond Jr., and his wife, Nancy, of Bellefonte; Esther Grimm of Tyrone; Martha Hammond and Randy of Greenwood; William Hammond of Maryland; Thomas Hammond of Tyrone and Rebecca, and her husband, Sam Kimberling, of Tyrone. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Jonathan. Mr. Hammond was of the Protestant faith. He had been a devoted member of the former Citizens Fire Co., where he served as a lieutenant and a trustee. He was a current member of the Neptune Fire Co. Mr. Hammond was a graduate of Central High School and had been employed as a herdsman at Evergreen Farm, Seven Stars. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, with the Rev. Alvin R. Shaffer and Pastor Chris Walls officiating. Interment will be made in Seven Stars Cemetery. Michael Jason CRAMER, 25, of 40 E. Shirley St., Mount Union, died at 8:41 am. Monday, Aug. 2, 2004. at Altoona Hospital, Altoona. Born Feb. 7, 1979. in Lewistown, he was the son of Karen Jane (Miller) Cramer, who preceded him in death June 11, 2004, and Blaine D. White, who survives, along with Mr. Cramer's stepmother, Tammy Summers, in Mount Union. He is survived by one brother. Robert E. Cramer, and his wife, Crystal, of Shirleysburg; two sisters, Danielle Snook and Tasha White, both of Mount Union: paternal grandmother. Helen Bryant of Chester, S.C.; a half-brother, Daniel White of Belleville; and two half sisters. Amy Druckenmiller of Mount Union and Debbie White of Lancaster. He is also survived by twn nephews and two nieces: Grew gory Cramer, Hayden Heintz, Macy Cramer and Makayla White, as well as a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Cramer was of the Protestant faith. He graduated from Mount Union Area High School with the Class of 1998. He had most recently been employed by Pre-Cast Systems of Greencastle. Mr. Cramer was a lifetime resident of Mount Union and was an avid fisherman and dearly loved spending time with family and friends. Betty Louise (McClain) WILSON, 81, of 2723 Warm Springs Ave., Huntingdon, died at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at the home of her daughter in rural Hollidavsburg. Born Oct. 13, 1922, in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Norman L. McClain and Jessie (Henry) McClain. She was united in marriige to Charles Ralph Wilson Jr. Nov. 8, 1947, at the 15th Street United Methodist Church in Huntingdon by the Rev. R.A. Zimmer man. Mr. Wilson preceded her in death July 17, 1990. She is survived by one son and one daughter, Mark L. Wilson of Huntingdon and Lori J. Wilson, and her husband, Joseph L. Antonowicz. M.D., of Hollidaysburg; and two grandsons. Charles William Antonowicz and David Wilson Antonowicz, L both of Hollidaysburg. She is survived by two brothers, Norman L. McClain Jr. of Huntingdon and Richard W. McClain of Tyrone. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leslie C. McClain, who had resided in Robertsdale, and Robert S. McClain, who had resided in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the 15th Street United Methodist Church in Huntingdon. She played an important role in helping to introduce the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority to the Huntingdon area and was a charter member and Past president of the organization in the 1940s. She loved sports and was an avid golfer. Formerly a member of the Huntingdon Country Club and the Standing Stone Golf Club, Mrs. Wilson was Ladies Club Champion a number of Limes. A highlight of her golfing career was that of having the opportunity of playing an exhibition match at the Huntingdon Country Club with Louise Suggs, a member of the LPGA's Hall of Fame. She also experienced the pleasure of carding three "holes-in one' during her golfing years. Mrs. Wilson graduated from Huntingdon High School with the Class of 1940. While in high school she participated in the orchestra and the marching and jazz bands. She graduated from Jumata College with the Class of 1 Q44 with a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and psychology. Following graduation from college, Mrs. Wilson was employed by the Huntingdon County Child Welfare Services for one year and later joined her father in the family business, McClain Gas and Electric. Her other interests were dancing, reading, and at one time giving recitations at various social events in the area. Funeral services will be held at 11 am. Thursday. Aug. 5, at the 15th Street United Methodist Church, 15th and Moore streets, Huntingdon. with the Rev. Fred E. Hickok officiating. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. Betty Jane STAINS, 75, of Three Springs, died Aug. 4, 2004, at her home. Her death was unexpected. Born Aug. 3, 1929, in Mapleton, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Anderson) Brechbiel. She was united in marriage to John S. Stains in 1947. Mr. Stains survives at the couple's home. She is also survived by one son, Charles J. "Jimmy" Stains of Three Springs. During her life, Mrs. Stains was a homemaker. She was an avid CB Radio enthusiast and was known by her handle, "LIttle Toe." Funeral services will be held Aug. 8, 2004, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Grundon officiating. Interment will be made in Old School Baptist Cemetery, Three Springs. Robert L. WISOR, 65, of Pennsylvania Furnace, died Thursday. Aug. 5, 2004, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born May 17, 1939, in Woodland, he was the son of the late Paul Calvin and Zola Mitchell Wisor. He is survived by a daughter, Melanie Easton of Saltillo; a son, Robert L. Wisor II of Oxford, Maine; and one grandson, John R. Easton of Belchertown, Mass. A brother, Calvin Wisor of Alexandria. and a sister, Caroline Fye of Pennsylvania Furnace, survive. Mr. Wisor was of the Protestant faith. He attended the Hershey School for Boys and served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1959 as a seaman first class. He was a mechanical engineer for Titeflx Corp, in Springfield, Mass. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Visitation and services will be private and at the convenience of Mr. Wisor's family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Koch Funeral Home, State College. Harvey R. "Skip" PORT Sr., 76, of 555 Washington St., Petersburg, died at 10:05 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at the Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born April 26, 1928 at his family home in Petersburg, he was the son of the late Walter W. and Mertie E. (Howell) Port. He married Alice M. Mitchell Dec. 24, 1947, at the Robertsdale Methodist Church parsonage. She survives at their residence. Mr. Port is survived by a son and three daughters; Harvey R. Port Jr. and his fiance, Kelly McMullin, and her daughter, Emily, of Alexandria; Christine C. MacEachern and her husband, Donald, of Petersburg; Marianne Sottile and her husband. Andrew, of Lititz; Emily M. Hess and her husband, David, of Alexandria. Two sisters, Marian Gates of Huntrngdon and Rachel Port of Petersburg, also survive, along with three brothers, Jack Port and his wife, Joyce, of Mount Union; Kermit Port and his wife, Alma Jean, of Petersburg; and Dale Port of Huntingdon. Mr. Port is also survived by seven grandchildren; Jay Port, Amy Dubbs, Curtis MacEachern, Joelle Lightner and her husband, Richard; Aaron MacEachern, Michael Hess and Allison Hess. Five great grandchildren, Kiley, Jacob, Lucas, Reagan and Maya, also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Port and John Port, and a sister, Anna Martha Rohland. Mr. Port was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Petersburg. He was a lifetime member of the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Co. Mr. Port graduated from Petersburg Vocational High School. Mr. Port served in the United States Army. For 49 years he owned and operated Port's Gulf/Port's Convenience Store in Petersburg, retiring in 2002. He was a lifetime resident of Petersburg. His interests revolved around his family, work and community and he was especially fond of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a dedicated supporter of community, youth and school sports programs. He was also an avid hunter. Funeral services will be followed by interment in Grove Cemetery, Petersburg. Harry Metz MILLER, 90, of The Oaks at Westminster Woods, 360 Westminster Drive, Huntingdon, and formerly of 549 King St., Petersburg, died at 11:50 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at the Oaks, where he had resided since February. Mr. Miller had been in failing health for the past one and one-half years. Born in Petersburg Sept. 13, 1913. he was the son of the late William J. Miller and Grace Ann (Metz) Miller. He was first united in marriage to Gladys (Hurley) Miller in July 1955. She preceded him in death in 1975. In August 1988 he married Mabel (Spencer) Cherry Miller. She survives at the couples Petersburg residence. Mr. Miller is survived by two daughters and one son; Elizabeth Ann Komlenic and her husband, Todd, of Beaver; Roberta Grace Miller of Arlington, Mass.; and William H. Miller and his wife, Lavinia. of Hudson, N.H. Five grandchildren, Clive and Evan Komlenic of Beaver, Katie, Nathan and Juliette Miller of Hudson, also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert C. Miller in 1999 and William Miller who died in infancy. Mr. Miller was a member and elder of the Petersburg Bethel Presbyterian Church and was a former superintendent of the adult Sunday School for the church. He was a member of the Cloyd K. Davis Post 150. American Legion of Petersburg. Mr. Miller attended the Petersburg public schools. He graduated from Petersburg Vocational High School with the Class of 1931. He graduated from the Mont Alto School of Forestry (now the Mont Alto Campus of the Pennsylvania State University in the Class of 1935. He was employed by the U.S. Forest Service in its Forest and Waters Division. Subsequently he was employed by the commonwealth and served as the acting district forester for the Rothrock District. Mr. Miller was also a self-employed gunsmith and retired from the Chemcut Corporation of State College. He served with the United States Army during World War II in the 36th Combat Engineers with service in North Africa, Europe and during the invasion of Italy at Anzio, attaining the rank of captain. Mr. Miller was an avid hunter and fisherman. Funeral services will be held at the Petersburg Bethel Presbyterian Church Monday, Aug. 9, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David L. Benfer officiating. Interment will be made in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Petersburg. George F. BRENNEMAN, 82, of R.R. 1 Box 146 Williamsburg, passed away Friday morning, Aug. 6, 2004, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born July 27, 1922, in Woodbury Township, son of the late Thomas Earnest and Hannah Elizabeth (Miller) Brenneman. He married Anna Mary Schwager June 19, 1948, in Canton. Ohio. Mrs. Brenneman survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Kathleen Fisher and husband, Jay of Stevens: and Linda Weisthal of Greensboro, N.C.: and three sons, George Brenneman and his wife. Susan (Force), of Hollidaysburg R.R. 2: and Kenneth Brenneman and his wife, Elizabeth (Landis). and Louis Brenneman and his wife, Sandra (Mock), all of Willamsburg, RR. 1. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Dorothy Showalter of Martinsburg, and Betty Roarabaugh of Black Lick, and a brother, Charles Brenneman and wife, Betty (Mattern), of Canoe Creek, also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Brenneman, Aug. 4. 1998, and a sister, M. Margaret Rose, July 7, 2002. Mr. Brenneman was a member of Cove Forge United Methodist Church, Williamsburg. R.R. 1, where he served as Sunday School superintendent for 34 years, was a Sunday School teacher and chairman of the administrative board. He was a lifetime farmer. Prior to that he had been employed by Republic Steel, Youngstown, Ohio; and West Virginia Pulp & Paper Co., Williamsburg. He retired as a school bus driver from the Williamsburg School District with 23 years service and was a Catherine Township Supervisor for 19 years, where he served on the finance committee for the Pennsylvania State Association of Elected Officials. While township supervisor, he helped created the Right to Farm Act for Catherine Township. He also had served as president of the Blair County Association of Elected Officials for three terms. He was a committeeman for the Farm Services Agency, where he was a member for 30 years. He was a dairyman with Dairy Lea Co-op for 40 years, formerly serving as a director and president. He was a charter member of the Williamsburg Young Farmers. He was a 1940 graduate of Williamsburg High School and was a graduate of LaSalle Extension University, LaSalle, Wis., with a degree in farm engineering and management. Mr. Brenneman enjoyed family, friends, square dancing. hunting. antique tractors and had a great love for his community and country. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Cove Forge United Methodist Church with Pastors Barry E. Neal and Howard Lindsay officiating. Interment will in Shellytown Fairview Cemetery. Williamsburg, R.R. 2. Cloyd P. "Pat" BLACK, 92, of Waterfall, R.R.1, died at 2:08 a.m., Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg. Born March 17, 1912 at Six Mile Run, he was a son of the late Abner and Sally (O'Neal) Black. He was married to the former Hazel Evans Nov. 5, 1936 at Cumberland, Md. Mrs. Black preceded in death Feb. 22, 2000. Mr. Black is survived by four sons, Fred R. Black, Waterfall, R.R.; Charles E. Black, Breezewood; L. Dale Black, ConnellsviUe; and Rex S. Black, Hustontown. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. One granddaughter preceded in death. One sister, Hazel Cutchall of McConnellsburg, survives. He was preceded in death by four brothers; Willis, Delbert, Merrill and Robert, and a sister, Ruth Houck. Mr. Black was of the Protestant faith. He retired in 1974 from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission after seven years of service. Prior to that he was employed by the Central Penn Quarry, Stripping and Construction Co. of Hazelton. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Angel and Chloe CROZIER-SWAB, infant twin daughters of Michael Swab of Mifflintown, and Catherine Lynn Crozier of Mifflin, were stillborn Saturday Aug. 7, 2004, at Lewistown Hospital. They are survived by their maternal grandparents, Richard and Peggy Drizier of Mifflin; paternal grandparents, Richard G. and Janet Swab of Mifflintown; maternal great-grandparents, Walter and Joan Hess of Hesston; paternal great-grandparents, Richard and Janice Swab of Mifflintown, and Marlin and Nellie Arentz of HCR 67, Mifflin; and paternal great-great-grandparents, Guy and Gladys Heister of Locust Grove Retirement Village, HCR 67, Mifflin. Graveside funeral services will be held Aug. 11, at Union Memorial Gardens, Miffintown, with the Rev. Douglas Compton officiating. Antionette J. "Tonie" MOON, 80, of HCR 1, Todd, died Aug. 7, 2004, at her home in Cass Twp., Huntingdon County. Born Sept. 22, 1923, in Rockwood, she was the daughter of late John and Mary (Oswald) Carowick. She was united in marriage to Wright E. Moon Jr. Nov. 24, 1946, in California while they were both serving in the United States Army. She is survived by her husband, a resident of Woodland Retirement Center in Orbisonia; one son, Richard W. Moon of Williamsport; and three grandchildren. She is also survived by her god daughter and caregiver, Patricia Brindle of Todd. One brother and two sisters survive: Stanley Carowick of Akron, Ohio; Frances Brown of Todd; and Stella Harvey of Whitehall, Ohio. she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Esther Anderson, and three brothers: Albert, Frank and Ed. Mrs. Moon was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Dudley, where she was the Founder of the church's Grotto Fund, served on the church council and served as a eucharistic minister. She was secretary of the Trough Creek Valley Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and did volunteer work for the American Cancer Society, as well as the American Heart Association. She retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglas, Huntingdon, after 28 years of service. A funeral Mass will be held Aug. 11, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dudley, with the Rev. Bernard White officiating. Interment will be made in Ave Maria Cemetery, Dudley. Jean B. SHIRES, 84, of Huntingdon, died Aug. 7, 2004, at Bon Secours-Holy Family Hospital in Altoona. Born March 30, 1920, in Cornpropst Mills, Miller Twp., Huntingdon County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert F. Blair and Mary (Green) Blair. She was united in marriage to George C. Shires June 3, 1939, in Philadelphia, by the Rev. G.W. Shires. Mr. Shires preceded her in death Jan. 12, 1981. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Linda D. Shires of Huntingdon; four grandchildren: Christopher C. Shires, and his wife, Carey B. (Wisner), of Huntingdon, George G. Shires of Oregon, and Cara A. And Kurt S. Schmidt of New Jersey; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, George B. Shires, and one daughter, Katherine S. Shires. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Shires was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Huntingdon. She was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons. She graduated from Huntingdon High School with the Class of 1937 and was primarily a homemaker. Mrs. Shires loved reading, crossword puzzles, bird watching and especially music. She had resided at her Miller Twp. home since 1940. Private funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of her family. Interment will be made in Donation Cemetery, Oneida Twp., Huntingdon. David E. COLBERT JR., 66, of HCR 1, Huntingdon, died Aug. 7, 2004, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born May 2, 1938, in Union Twp., Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late David E. Sr. and Mary (Scott) Colbert. He was united in marriage to Phyllis J. Hennaman April 26, 1958, in Mapleton. He is survived by his wife at home; two daughters and two sons: Jody A. Hetrick, and her husband, Dennis, of Lewistown, Cindy J. Colbert of Cassville and Brian L. Colbert and Kevin J. Colbert, both at home. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Mandee R. Czmore, who was reared in the Colbert home, Rachel Scutt and Ailai Hetrick; and five great-grandchildren: Megan Jackson, Lexie Arnold, Levi Scutt, Gabe Scutt and Dillon Robinson. Three brothers survive: J. Alan Colbert and John Colbert, both of Alexandria, and Gerald Colbert of Huntingdon. Mr. Colbert was a member of Cassville Lutheran Church. He was a past master of Mount Union Lodge No. 688 F&AM; a past patron of Cromwell Chapter No. 549 OES; Harrisburg Consistory; Jaffa Shrine, Altoona, where he was active in the Cycle Corps and the Road Runners; Chief Logan Forest No. 131; and tall Cedars of Lebanon, Hollidaysburg. He was also very active in Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Colbert was employed at Owens-Corning Fiberglas in Huntingdon and Charleston, W.Va., from which he retired. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. Funeral services will be held Aug. 10, at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, Cassville, with the Rev. Richard Shakespeare and the Rev. James Sunderland officiating. Interment will be made in Trough Creek Valley Baptist Cemetery, Calvin. Travis J. AURAND, 23, of Saxton, Pa. died unexpectedly at his home on August 8, 2004. He was born June 25, 1981 in Huntingdon, Pa. His parents are Jim and Doris (Grove) Williams of Saxton and the late Michael W. Aurand Sr. He is also survived by a brother, Michael W. Aurand Jr. and wife Roberta of Mapleton, his maternal grandparents, John and Joanne Grove of Shirleysburg and the following aunts and uncles; Connie Pecht and husband Brent of Lewistown, Sharon Bieniek of McVeytown, Beverly Gavin of McVeytown and John C. Grove Jr. and wife Cheryl of Mount Union and nieces Mikayla and Abigail Aurand of Mapleton. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2004 at the Robert D. Bernard E. BAILEY, 52, of Roaring Spring, died unexpectedly Aug. 8, 2004, at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring. Born Dec. 15, 1951, in Roaring Spring, he was the son of John W. and Sarah R. (Furry) Bailey. He was united in marriage to Janet White Dec. 16, 1972, in Roaring Spring. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Leslie D. Schilling, and her husband, Greg, of Petersburg; a son, Lee M. Bailey of Sterling, Va.; and a grandson, Hunter Douglas Schilling. A brother and three sisters survive: Harold Bailey of Roaring Spring; Carol Fisher of Armagh; Lois Eisenman of Clearfield; and Mary Sollenberger of Williamsburg. Mr. Bailey was a member of Christ Church in Roaring Spring and was a former member of the Memorial Church of the Brethren in Martinsburg. He was a member of the Blair County 4-H Junior Livestock Committee, the Pennsylvania Jersey Cattle Association and the Blair-Bedford Tractor Pullers Association and served as an area delegate for Sire Power. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association and the Pennsylvania Federation of Black Powder Shooters. In 1969, he graduated from Central High School in Martinsburg. He was also a graduate of the Williamport Area Community College. Mr. Bailey was a dairy farmer in the Roaring Spring area for most of his life. Barbara P. BEARD, 68, of Huntingdon, Henderson Twp., died Aug. 9, 2004, at Huntingdon Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, formerly Huntingdon Manor. Born Nov. 8, 1935, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Mabel (Norris) Moore. She is survived by her husband, David C. Beard, at home; one son, David C. Beard Jr., and his wife, Pamela, of Huntingdon; and two daughters, Brenda L. Guyer, and her husband, Edward, of Huntingdon, and Carmella S. Beard of Huntingdon. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Brian Guyer, Stacy Guyer, Tinaisha Tononi, Douglas Beard, Gabriel Beard and Matthew Beard. Two sisters and two brothers survive: Jane Parks of Alexandria, Patricia Young of Mapletown, Jack Norris of Orbisonia and Richard Norris of Huntingdon. Mrs. Beard was a homemaker. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon following a lengthy illness. Born April 13, 1930, in Ardenheim, he was the son of the late Charles and Myrtle (Grissinger) Rickabaugh. He was united in marriage to Patricia Welsh June 10, 1950, at the Beavertown Church of God, Todd. He is survived by his wife at home; two daughters and three sons: Vicky Mentzer, and her husband, Gilson, of Scotland, Pa., Chris Rickabaugh, and his wife, Sharon, of Chambersburg, T. Kevin Rickabaugh, and his wife, Anita, of Orrstown, Kathy Cresswell, and her husband, Craig, of Mapleton, and David Rickabaugh, and his wife Cindy, of Huntingdon. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Two brothers and three sisters survive: R. Dale Rickabaugh of Cassville, Lola Frohm of McConnellstown, Dorris Diven of Huntingdon, Glen Rickabaugh of Osseo, Mich., and Lois Broshkevitch of Harve De Grace, Md. Mr. Rickabaugh was a charter member of the Beavertown Bible Church, Todd, where he served faithfully as elder, treasurer and Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Senior Life Group. He also served as secretary/treasurer for Todd Township for 36 years. Mr. Rickabaugh retired from Claster's Lumber Co., Huntingdon, after 39 years of service. Interment will be made in Beavertown Cemetery, Todd. Henry L. KIDWELL, 83, of Emmet Ave., Huntingdon, died Aug. 11, 2004, at the Huntingdon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Huntingdon. Born May 10, 1921, in Upper Marlboro, Md., he was the son of the late Oscar Kidwell and Edna (Duvall) Kidwell. He was united in marriage to Cleo E. Awkerman in 1966 in Hagerstowm Md. Mrs. Kidwell preceded him in death May 27, 2003. He is survived by two sons, Raymond L. Kidwell of Louisiana and Wayne A. Kidwell, and his wife, Laurin, of Frederick, Md. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Steven W. Kidwell and Theresa D. Kidwell, both of Frederick, Md., and Cindy Kidwell, Doris Kidwell, Raymond L. Kidwell Jr. and Raymond Kidwell Jr., all of Louisiana. A sister-in-law, Esther Rittenhouse of Huntingdon, survives. Mr. Kidwell was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, Frederick, Md., and Standing Stone Post No. 1754 VFW, Huntingdon. Retiring in 1983 after 12 years of service, Mr. Kidwell was a shop foreman of Genstar Concrete. Mr. Kidwell enjoyed working on old cars, but most of all he was a devoted and loving father and grandfather. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of Mr. Kidwell's family. Minola M. "None" BOYER, 86, formerly of Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg, died Aug. 11, 2004, at Manor Care Health Services of Chambersburg. Born on Jan. 13, 1918, in Three Springs, she was the daughter of the late Porter B. and Olive (Brown) Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester P. Boyer, whom she married Dec. 24, 1937. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William (Rosaline "Rose") Sellers of Chambersburg; and four grandchildren: Wanda Blatt of Damascus, Md., Jackie Wilson of Spartanburg, S.C., Bobby Gift of Chambersburg and Gina Loose of Fannettsburg. Three sisters survive: Mrs. Wayne (Esther) Grissinger and Mrs. Carl (Freda) Cohenour, both of Three Springs, and Bessie Bennett of Chambersburg. Aside from her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Gift Unger, Five sisters and three brothers. Mrs. Boyer attended St. James United Brethren Church, Chambersburg. A former school bus driver in Huntingdon County, she had also worked for the former Swift and Co. and the Norland Restaurant, both of Chambersburg. Mrs. Boyer enjoyed bird watching and gardening. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Frank James WAGNER SR., 61, of Mapleton, died Aug. 12, 2004, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg. Born Dec. 24, 1942, in Mount Union, he was the son of the late Harry Wagner and Audrey M. (Park) Wagner of Mapleton, who survives. He was united in marriage to Helen Keith Oct. 22, 1960. He is survived by his wife at home; and one daughter and two sons: Justine Bickel, and her husband, Randy, Frank Wagner Jr., and his wife, Cindy, and Darin Wagner, and his wife, Cheryl, all of Mapleton. Three granddaughters survive: Bethany Bickel, Stephanie Wagner and Malory Wagner, as well as a step-granddaughter, Britney Vincent, and a step-grandson, Tyler Vincent. Three brothers survive: H. Arthur Wagner, Virl Wagner and Louis Wagner, all of Mapleton. An infant brother, Sherman, preceded him in death. Mr. Wagner was of the Protestant faith. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 66, Pittsburgh. He was employed by Kee-ta-Quay Construction Co., Hustontown, as a heavy equipment operator. In earlier years, Mr. Wagner had worked on construction projects in Saudi Arabia with Green Construction; in Honduras with Castle and Cooke; and in Indonesia with Fluor-Daniels. He had been employed at S&A Homes, Huntingdon, for a number of years, and was presently involved with Wagner's Excavating and Hauling, Mapleton. Mr. Wagner enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had previously enjoyed being a part of the family's dirt track racing hobby. Joyce Elaine SATTERFIELD, went home to be with the Lord Aug. 12, 2004. She was the daughter of William E. Putt and Hazel (Weimert) Putt, both of whom preceded her in death, as well as two brothers, Tom and Denny. She is survived by her husband, James A. Satterfield of Saxton; a son, Keith Satterfield of Sinking Valley, Altoona; and a daughter, Trisha Tenley, and her husband, Jeff, of Northwood, N.H. She had five grandchildren: Richelle, Joshua and Shonda Tenley and Sierra and Kethan Satterfield. Mrs. Satterfiend was a member of Faith assembly of God, Roaring Spring, and was very active in the work of the Lord. She was instrumental in establishing the International Women's Aglow chapter in the Saxton area and served as president for many years. As an active member of Aglow, she spoke at various meetings throughout the state. Mrs. Satterfield held numerous Bible studies in her home, led praise and worship playing her guitar and ministered by counseling to many women. Her favorite pastime was sharing her love for God with others. To have a friend, you must be a friend, and she was a friend indeed to all who knew her. Roseliand M. WARD, 65, Mill Creek, died Aug. 12, 2004, at her home. She had been in failing health for the past three years. Born Sept. 10, 1938, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Harold J. Estep and Frances (Brenneman) Estep Miller. She was united in marriage to Gamble A. Ward April 11, 1964, in Winchester, Va. She is survived by her husband at home; five children: Rosemary K. Wike of Huntingdon, Bruce D. Estep, and his wife, Karen, of Millcreek, Frances M. Estep of Mill Creek, Peggy S. Carson Claycomb, and her husband, Rob, of Mill Creek, and Gary L. Ward of Mill Creek; and two stepchildren, Randall R. Ward of Huntingdon and Brenda A. Getz, and her husband, Allen, of Huntingdon. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Six sisters and one brother survive: Jane Banks of Mill Creek, Thelma Myers of Newton Hamilton, James Estep of Cassville, Judy Gilbert of Mount Union, Kay Wiser of Orbisonia, Joyce Bollinger of Mill Creek and Betty Puchalo of Greencastle. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Port and Carol Estep. Mrs. Ward was of the Protestant faith. She was a past member of the Mapleton American Legion Post and the Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Co. auxiliaries. She attended Huntingdon Schools and had been employed by Empire Kosher of Mifflintown for 14 years. Mrs. Ward, "Rose" to those who knew her, enjoyed her time sitting on the porch reading and watching her flower garden. She also loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. BURDGE, 83, of Calvin, died Aug. 12, 2004, at Woodland Retirement Center in Orbisonia. Born April 7, 1921, in Shirleysburg, he was the son of the late Edward W. and Anna Grace (Gray) Burdge. He was united in marriage to Helen M. Horne May 8, 1948. Mrs. Burdge preceded him in death May 28, 2004. He is survived by one son and one daughter, Norman R. Burdge, and his wife, Judy, and Barbara A. Miller, and her husband, Michael, all of Calvin. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One sister, Mary Morgan of Mount Union, survives. He was preceded in death by two brothers and seven sisters. Mr. Burdge was of the Methodist faith. He was a charter member of the Trough creek Valley Volunteer Fire Co. Mr. Burdge served during World War II with the United States Marines in the South Pacific Theatre of Operations. He was the former owner of Horne's Economy Store, Allenport, Mount Union, and retired in 1977 from PennDOT after 20 years of service. He also engaged in farming. Graveside services will be held Aug. 18, 2004, with the Rev. Donald Henderson officiating. Louise E. PARK, 83, of Natrona Heights, died Aug. 12, 2004, at her home. Born June 4, 1921, in Cresson, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Manzo. She was united in marriage to Elby F. Park Jr. who preceded her in death. She is survived by three sons, Allen P. Park of Turtle Creek, David Park, and his wife, Ellen, of Murryville, and Jesse Park, and his wife, Sharon, of Lower Burrell; and three daughters, Sandy Rupert, and her husband, Walter, of Huntingdon, Rhonda Fuller, and her husband, Richard, of Cheswick and Brenda Kozora, and her husband, Jeffrey, of Alexandria. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Lisa Rupert Wright, Pamela Bowser, Casey Fuller, Ricky Fuller, Michelle Sweet, Bryan Park, Michael Park, and Kelly Jo Kozora; and four great-grandchildren: Christopher Bowser Jr., Nathan Bowser, Kyle Park and Darrin Wright. She was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, one granddaughter and one grandson. Mrs. Park was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the New Kensington Elks and the VFW of Lower Burrell. She was also a member of Roaring 20's Club in Mountaineer, W.Va. She was a graduate of Cresson High School and had been employed by 20th Century Fox in Pittsburgh as a tap splicer. Mrs. Park's hobbies included baking, bingo, playing cards, velvet art painting, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and her cats and kittens. She was also a fan of Regis Philmen. Mrs. Park had resided in Natrona Heights for the past year and previously lived in Lower Burrell, Cheswick and Alexandria. Funeral services were held Aug. 16. Interment will be private. Vivian Kann "Dolly" STITT, 79, of Lower Paxton Twp., passed away Aug. 13, 2004, at Harrisburg Hospital. She was the widow of Robert A. Stitt Sr. and is survived by a son, Robert A. Stitt Jr. of Dover; three daughters, Catherine S. Portillo of Las Cruses, N.M., Barbara L. Simione of Lancaster and Marjorie A. Ebersole of Harrisburg; and seven grandchildren. A brother and three sisters survive: Fred L. Kann of Mooresville, N.C., Louise L. Fornwalt of Spring Church, Doris K. McElwain of Huntingdon and Donna K. Conlon of Huntingdon. Mrs. Stitt was a member of Charlton United Methodist Church, Lower Paxton Twp. She was a member of the Lower Paxton Lioness Club and was a board member of the Metropolitan Area Singles Club. Mrs. Stitt retired from the Public School employees Retirement system as a personnel assistant. After her retirement she worked for the Bon Ton at Colonial Park Mall. John R. WOLFE, 90, a resident of Homewood Retirement Community, Martinsburg, and formerly of Altoona, died Aug. 14, 2004, following an extended illness. Born Feb. 19, 1914, in Robertsdale, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Elizabeth (Marks) Wolfe. He was united in marriage to Evelyn McGahey March 6, 1937. Mrs. Wolfe preceded him in death March 16, 2002. He is survived by a son, John Wolfe Jr., and his wife, Connie Queen, of York; four daughters: Sandra Cover, and her husband, Bill, of Rainier, Wash., Sally Nicewonger, and her husband, Ronnie, of Altoona, Judith Williams, and her husband, Robert, of Yardley, and Deborah Wolfe of Tucson, Ariz. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. One Brother, Donald of Huntingdon, and one sister, Dorothy of Cassville, survive. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua David Mottin, who had resided in York. Mr. Wolfe was a longtime member of Fairview United Methodist Church. He served for over 60 years as a Mason, where he was a steward in his lodge and was also a member of Jaffa Shrine. He was also an honorary member of Stoney Lonesome Hunting Camp, where he enjoyed cooking and the outdoors. Mr. Wolfe was a graduate of Robertsdale High School. He retired in 1973 as the superintendent of plant security for the Altoona Works of the Penn Central Railroad. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Howard E. "Howdy" ESTEP JR., 62, of Williamsburg, passed away unexpectedly Aug. 14, 2004, at Bons Secours-Holy Family Hospital, Altoona. Born July 26, 1942, in Huston Twp., Williamsburg, he was the son of the late Howard E. Estep Sr., who died May 26, 1993, and Lorma L. (Banks) Estep Claycomb of Willamsburg, who survives. He was twice married, first to Patricia Wilson; then to Alfreda A. (Figurelle) Hite March 18, 1989, in Williamsburg. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Penny of Petersburg; a son, Mark of Hollidaysburg; two special stepchildren, Karen Hite, and her husband, Leonard Wasleloski, of Myersville, Md., and John Hite of Hollidaysburg. He is also survived by two grandchildren and step-granddaughter, Carrie. Two brothers and a sister survive: Phillip Estep of Williamsburg, and Mona Miller of Williamsburg. Mr. Estep attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hollidaysburg. He was a 1962 graduate of Willamsburg High School and was having served with the United States Army. He retired as a forklift operator from Mead-Westvaco in Alexandria July 26, 2004, with 35 years of service. While there, he was a member of the International Paper Workers Union. Mr. Estep enjoyed hunting, fishing and antiques. A funeral Mass will be held Aug. 17, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Williamsburg with the Rev. John J. Palko officiating. Interment will be made in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Willamsburg. Robert J. MEASE, 71, of Mount Union, formerly of West Decatur and Philipsburg, died Aug. 15, 2004, at Altoona Hospital, Altoona. He had been in failing health. Born July 17, 1933, in Rush Twp., Centre County, he was the son of the late Roland D. and Mildred V. (Shimel) Mease. He was united in marriage to Margaret Anne "Peg" Lytle May 5, 1957, in Houtzdale. Mrs. Mease survives, along with three sons: R. Douglas Mease, and his wife, Deborah, of Mount Union; David A. Mease, and his companion, Sabrina Thompson, of Mount Union; and Drew L. Mease Sr., and his wife, Darla, of Mount Union. He is also survived by seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles R. Mease. Mr. Mease was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mount Union. He was an honorary member of the Mount Union volunteer Fire Co. No. 1 and a driver and EMT with the company's ambulance service. He was a member of F&AM Lodge No. 688, Mount Union, where he served as past master and past lodge secretary. He obtained his 32 Degree at the Harrisburg Consistory. He was a member of Juniata Forest No. 88, Tall Cedars of Lebanon and a former member of the Jaffa Shrine, Altoona. He was also a member of Simpson-Hunt American Legion Post No. 107, Mount Union. Mr. Mease graduated from Philipsburg-Osceola High School in 1952. During the Korean Conflict, he served as a corporal in the United States Army from May 1953 until April 1955. Following graduation, Mr. Mease began working as a clerk at the A&P food stores, eventually attaining manager status at the Snow Shoe, Mill Hall, Mount Union, Lewistown and State College stores, with a combined service of 22 years. In 1974, he started working for Juniata College as a boiler fireman, retiring in 1995. During his retirement, Mr. Mease worked part-time at Fortney's Exxon in Mount Union. For a number of years, Mr. Mease, "Bob", was a PIAA certified basefall and wrestling official and a manager for the Mount Union Teener League and the Huntingdon City League organizations. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Steelers and enjoyed going to Altoona Curve baseball and Penn State Lady Lions Baseball and Penn State Lady Lions Basketball games. He enjoyed golfing at the American Legion County club, Mount Union, where he was a member and participated in four bowling leagues: the American League, the Outlaw League, the Southern Huntingdon Men's League and the Mount Union Men's League. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of Mr. Mease's family with the Rev. Jeff Canankamp officiating. Interment will be made in Mount Union Cemetery. Mildred Cathryn LINN, 79, a resident of Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia, and formerly of Shade Gap, died Aug. 15, 2004, at Woodland. Born Dec. 30, 1924, in Locke's Valley, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Beulah (Nead) Locke. She was united in marriage to Clair Linn Aug. 30, 1940, in Maryland. Mr. Linn preceded her in death Dec. 18, 1971. She is survived by two daughters, Gloria Murphy and Sandra Holland, both of Shade Gap. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Lynette Murphy of Chambersburg, Dana Callahan of Shade Gap, Jeanine Rosenberry of Fannettsburg, and Michael Holland and Edward Holland, both of Shade Gap; and three great-grandchildren: Amber Callahan, Quentin Callahan and Caitlyn Holland. One sister, Dorothy Mellott of Mercersburg, survives. She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters: Robert, Wallace, Richard, Stanley and Donald Locke, Hazel Brown, Mary Brown, Janet Locke and Bernice Kling. Mrs. Linn was a member of Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, Shade Gap, where she was a member of the Women's Ministries Group and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Shade Valley Farm Women and the Shade Gap Golden Agers. Mrs. Linn retired after 18 years as cafeteria manager at Shade Gap Elementary School. Prior to her work at the school, she had been employed at several area restaurants. Funeral services will be held Aug. 18, at Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, Shade Gap, with the Rev. DECKER, 89, formerly of Huntingdon, died Aug. 15, 2004, at Woodland Retirement Center in Orbisonia. Born June 1, 1915, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel (Anderson) Silknitter. She was united in marriage to Kenneth G. Decker Sept. 21, 1934, in Cumberland, Md. Mr. Decker preceded her in death Dec. 27, 1999. She is survived by a son, James K. Decker Sr. of Cold Springs Road, Huntingdon; two grandchildren, James K. Decker Jr. and Natalie S. Cantrell, both of Huntingdon; and three great-grandchildren. Two sisters survive: Rolene Parks of York and Janetta Richards of Sylvania, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Rodney M. Decker Sr., in 1985, and by three brothers, John, Clarence Jr. and Robert. Mr. Decker was a member of the 15th Street United Methodist Church in Huntingdon. She was primarily a homemaker and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as gardening and cooking. Funeral services will be held Aug. 18, at the Robert E. WESTBROOK, 90, of Arlington, Va., died Aug. 17, 2004, at the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington,Va. Born Aug. 24, 1913, in Huntingdon, he was the son of Frank and Belle (Hagie) Westbrook, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Rena Belle (Haulman) Westbrook, formerly of Petersburg; a son, Roger Westbrook of Alexandria, Va.; an nephew, Stanley Westbook of Mount Union; a grandnephew, Shevey Westbrook of Atlanta, Ga.; and a grandniece, Tara Westbrook of Fredericksburg, Va. He was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Westbrook. Mr. Westbrook was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Arlington, Va., having served on the board of trustees. He was a member of the Disabled Veterans Association; the American Legion; VFW; AARP; NAREE; the Penn State alumni Association; American Society of Industrial Engineers; American Society of Military Engineers; Mount Moriah Lodge No. 300 F&AM, Huntingdon; and the Alexandria, Va., Masonic Lodge. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. A native of Huntingdon, Mr. Westbrook graduated from Huntingdon High School with the Class of 1931. He earned a degree in engineering from Penn State University and attended American University in Washington, D.C. As a U.S. Army lieutenant during World War II, he served in England and Northern France for four years with the Army Corps of Engineers. He was awarded the American Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the American Defense Medal and the EAME with one Battle Star. He had a long career with the federal government and retired from the General Services Administration as deputy chief of the Federal Supply Division. He traveled extensively throughout his life, having visited many countries and major cities of the world. Interment with military honors was made in Arlington National cemetery. Mary A. HARDY, 85, of Alexandria, died Aug. 17, 2004, at her home. Born Sept. 28, 1918, in Coles Valley, Huntingdon County, she was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Watkins) Sergeant. she was united in marriage to Archie L. Hardy April 3, 1937, at the Baptist Church Parsonage in Huntingdon. Mr. Hardy preceded her in death Jan. 28, 1977. She is survived by two daughters and one son: Mrs. Paul (Connie) Everhart of Huntingdon, Mrs. Sonny (Bonnie) Rupert of Huntingdon, and John A. Hardy of Huntingdon. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Randy Everhart, Jerry Everhart, Sherri McCoy, Jesse Hardy, Sam Hardy and Ginny Lou Wagner; two step-grandchildren, Bill Brenneman and Amy Brenneman; and 15 great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Esther Clark of Aston and Leone Africa of Huntingdon, and one half-brother, Earl Steel of Allentown, survive. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise White and Zora Jamison, and two brothers, John Sergeant and Edwin Sergeant; and one half-brother, Richard Steel. Mrs. Hardy was of the Protestant faith. She was a former member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Huntingdon No. 1 Fire Co. She was a homemaker and an award-winning rug braider. Melinda Ann WENGER, 12, of Three Springs, died Aug. 17, 2004, at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg. Born Feb. 15, 1992, in Penn Twp.. Lancaster County, she was the daughter of Irvin G. and Anna (Kuhns) Wenger. She is survived by her parents of Three Springs; one brother, Dwight, and five sisters: Rachelle, Alissa, Melanie, Lorelle and Jessica, all at home. She is survived by her paternal grandparents, Menno and Anna Wenger of Millersville, and her maternal grandparents, Samuel and Janice Kuhns of Greencastle. Also her maternal great-grandparents, Harvey and Edna Kunns of Chambersburg and a maternal step-great-grandfather, Sidney Gingerich of Myerstown. Interment will be made in Meadow Green Mennonite Cemetery, Three Springs. Max A. WALKER SR., 86, of Three Springs, died Aug. 18, 2004, at Altoona Hospital. Born Jan. 16, 1918, in Clay Twp., Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late Cornelius and Margaret (Long) Walker. He was united in marriage to Alverda A. Madden Oct. 1, 1936, in Hagerstown, Md. Mrs. Walker preceded him in death July 24, 1988. He is survived by two daughters, Alice Chestnut, and her husband, James, of Hustontown and Maxine Whitsel, and her husband, Marshall, of Shirleysburg; two sons, Gerald Walker and Max Walker Jr., both of Three Springs. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One brother, Thad Walker, a resident of the Shirley Home for the Aged in Shirleysburg, survives. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Evadene McMullen. One daughter, Mary, died in infancy. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, nine brothers and four sisters. Mr. Walker was a member of Fairview Evangelical Church, Three Springs. He retired in 1980 from North American Refractories, Mount Union, after 38 years of service. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of Mr. Walker's family. Concetta MAGLIERI, 88, of Mount Union, died Aug. 19, 2004, at her home. Born Jan. 2, 1916, in Riccia, Italy, she was the daughter of Antonio and Carmela (Tronca) Maglieri. She married Salvatore Maglieri Jan. 22, 1936. Mr. Maglieri preceded her in death May 17, 1986. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Sam (Carmela) Ciccaglione, Mount Union, and Mrs. Joseph (Maria) Danish, Mount Union. Four grandchildren survive: Mrs. James (Mary) Manacher, Mrs. Brett (Joanne) Bason, Mrs. Sean (Annette) Brodbeck and Mrs. Duane (Lori) Varner. Great-grandsons Matthew, Adam, Alex, Johathan and Ian also survive. Also surviving are three sisters: Lucia Ciccaglione, Campobasso, Italy; Filomena Ciocca, Riccia, Italy; and Antonietta Zingarelle, also of Riccia, Italy. She was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Guiseppina Maglieri, Donato Maglieri, Maria Grazia Ciocca and Guiseppe Maglieri. Mrs. Maglieri was a faithful member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Mount Union, where she attended daily. She came to the United states at Ellis Island, N.Y., in 1956, with her family and made a home in Mount Union. She worked at L. Greif Brothers Manufacturing, Mount Union, until her retirement in 1974. Mrs. Maglieri loved spending time with her five great-grandsons and enjoyed gardening and sharing produce with friends and neighbors throughout the years. She also loved to knit and crochet blankets, afghans, and clothing articles for her family and friends. Interment will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Shirleysburg. Velma Elizabeth ROUZER, 99, of Harrisonville, died Aug. 19, 2004, at the Heritage Hills Retirement Home, Greencastle. Born May 23, 1905, in Knobsville, she was the daughter of the late George and Bessie (Kerlin) Glunt. She was married to Charles E. "Ted" Rouzer Nov. 6, 1923. Mr. Rouzer preceded her in death Nov. 29, 1988. She is survived by two sons and four daughters: George Leo Rouzer, Chambersburg; Vernon Rouzer, Harrisonville; Louise Bangma, Ocala, Fla.; Phyllis Brant, Harrisonville; Sherlyn Moseby, Mifflintown; and LaVonne Samra, Patterson, N.J. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a step-brother, George Glunt Jr., Chambersburg; On son, Charles E. Rouzer died in infancy. Two sisters, Alma Wilds and Bernice Russell, preceded her in death. Mrs. Rouzer was of the Methodist faith. George Clippinger officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Harrisonville. Lu Ann (Conlon) MELLOTT, 46, of Huntingdon, died Aug. 19, 2004, at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. Born April 25, 1958, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Auman Conlon and Donna (Kann) Conlon, who survives in Huntingdon. She was united in marriage to David K, Mellott Sept. 19, 1981, at the Stone Church of the Brethren by the Rev. Daniel Brumbaugh. Mr. Mellott survives at their Huntingdon home. Also surviving are a brother, Floyd Thomas "Tom" Conlon, and his wife, Ronda, Huntingdon; and two nieces, Stacy L. Conlon and Emily Dawn Conlon, both of Altoona. She was preceded in death by her father April 19, 2004. Mrs. Mellott was a member of the Abby Reformed United Church of Christ, Huntingdon. A lifetime resident of Huntingdon County, she was a 1976 graduate of Huntingdon Area High School and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Huntingdon Chapter 159. She was also a member of the Smithfield Volunteer Fire Co. and the Smithfield Fire Co. Auxiliary. She had been employed for the past 13 years by the State Correctional Institution Huntingdon as a corrections mail specialist. Prior to her work with the Department of Corrections, she had been employed by a number of area businesses, including: McDonald's, Elco Corporation, Bulger's Jewelry of Saxton, PNC Bank, John B. Brown Funeral Home and Griffith Oil Company. Mrs. Mellott was one of the founding members of the Ostomy Society of Huntingdon, which was formed to help other local people with similar medical conditions. BISHOP, 70, of Mercersburg, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg. Born Feb. 12, 1934, at Big cove Tannery, Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late George D. "Dewey" Truax Sr. and Mabel B. (Hill) Truax. She was united in marriage to Richard K, Bishop Sr. in 1951. Mr. Bishop preceded her in death in 1991. She is survived by three sons: Sheldon R. "Butch" REEDER, 57, of Mount Union, died Aug. 21, 2004, at his home. Born Nov. 16, 1946, in Huntingdon, he was the son of Mildred Reeder of Silverford Heights, Mount Union. Along with his mother, he is survived by two children: Greg A. Reeder, and his companion, Michele Foster, of Mount Union, and Barbara Jean Harven, and her husband, Andrew, of Mount Union. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Greg Reeder Jr. and Sheena Lyne Reeder. Mr. Reeder attended Cedar Crest Independent Baptist Church, Mount Union. He graduated from Mount Union High School with the Class of 1964. He served in the United States Navy and was a former member of the National Guard, Huntingdon Unit. Mr. Reeder worked at Owens-Corning Fiberglas, in Huntingdon and Mount Union, for 22 years. He very much enjoyed being a grandpa and spending time with his grandchildren. John W. WISER, 70. of Wyomissing, died of natural causes at 12:17 p.m.. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Reading Hospital where he had been a patient for two days. Born in Mount Union, he was the son of the late Cecil and Gwendolyn (Bond) Wiser He was united in marriage to Mary Grace Carothers. He is survived by his wife; a daughter Sandra R. (Wiser) Castle of Spring Township; a son, Michael J. Wiser of Omaha, Neb.; and two grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Walter C. Wiser of Topton and James D. Wiser of Huntingdon. Mr. Wiser was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing, where he served as an usher. He was a 1952 graduate of Huntingdon High School. a 1954 graduate of Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute and a 1959 graduate of Penn State University. Born Jan. 22, 1942. in Saxton, he was the son of the late Merle and Nellie V. (Guthridge) Hess. On June 12, 1962, in Huntingdon, he was united in marriage to Barbara B. Black. He is survived by his wife along with four daughters; Connie J. Gelvin and her husband, Mark of Hopewell; Kathy M. Barton, and her husband, Merle. of Hopewell; Sherry L. Miller and her husband, James II of Everett, and Pamela S. Greenwald and her husband, Brian, of Everett. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Alton Frederick ROSOSKY, 89, of Smithfield Township, Huntingdon, died at 9:45 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at his residence. His death was unexpected. Born Jan. 25. 1915, in Coalport, he was the son of the late Frederick Rososky and Josephine Rososky. He was united in marriage to Nellie Wapple Sept. 7, 1941, in Virginia, who preceded him Dec. 23, 1987. He is survived by one daughter, Alene R. Wolf, and her husband, Thomas, of Warren, and two step- granddaughters, Emily and Jessica Wolf, both of Warren. One sister, Hazel Prince of Coalport, survives. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Rososky; a sister, Nellie Rososky; and a dear companion, Helen Peightal, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mr. Rososky was of the Protestant faith. He was a 66-year member of the Coalport Lodge No. 574 F&AM; a life and founding member of the Richard L. Beers Post No. 7043 VFW in Coalport; a 23-year member of the Frank P. Hommon Post No. 24 American Legion in Huntingdon, and a member of the Standing Stone Senior Citizens Inc., Huntingdon. He graduated from Coalport High School with the Class of 1933 and received a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from the University of Piusburgh in 1949. He retired as a pharmacist from the former Hilly's Drug Store in Huntingdon after more than 20 years of service. Mr. Rososky was a United States Army veteran of World II, where he attained the rank of corporal, served in the European Theatre of Operations and received a bronze star medal. He enjoyed reading nonfiction books. enjoyed big band music and was lifelong Republican. He had been a resident of the Huntingdon area since 1962. Dorothy Ruth (Wagner) PETERSON, 76, of Camp Springs, Md., died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at her residence following a battle with pancreatic cancer. Born Sept. 6, 1927, in Huntingdon, she was the wife of Arnold O.D. Peterson, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist, who survives. She is also survived by a brother, Richard W. Wagner of Huntingdon. She was preceded in death by a son, Eric A.D. Peterson. Mrs. Peterson was of the Lutheran faith. She completed two years of college and was employed a secretary in the psychology department at Penn State University. She was especially fond of her pets and all animals. COX, 70, of RR 1 Box 29B Hesston, died at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at Woodland Retirement Center in Orbisonia. Born July 20, 1934, in Shirley Township. Huntingdon County, the son of the late Charles A. Cox and Stella (Rorer) Cox Horn. His stepfather was the late Samuel D. Horn Sr. He is survived by two children, Chuck Cox of Baytown, Texas, and Shari Cox of Texas, and three grandchildren, Curt and Craig Phillips and Amber Cox. Two brothers survive; Kenneth L. Cox of Kistler and Samuel D. Horn Jr. of Mill Creek. He was preceded in death by a sister, Phillis M. Hiteshew. Mr. Cox attended Mount Union schools and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed by U.S. Steel in Fairless Hills for 17 years. He then worked for Owens-Corning Fiberglas in Huntingdon for 11 years and subsequently retired from Greif Inc., Laporte, Texas, where he worked for 10 years. Mr. Cox enjoyed hunting and fishing. Born Sept., 6, 1923, in Union Township, Huntingdon County, she was the daughter of the late Otis and Nora (Stapleton) Bowman. She was united in marriage to Wallace Stever Aug. 31, 1973. in Three Springs. Mr. Stever preceded her in death Feh. 21. 1998. R.R. David L. HEIDLER Sr., 63, of Church Street, Gallitzin, died Thursday. Aug. 26, 2004, at the home of his daughter, Crystal Sunseri. Born Dec. 13, 1940, in Altoona, he was the son of the late Robert and Estella (Miller) Barkley. He is survived by his wife, Judith L. Heidler of McVeytown, and the following children; David L. Heidler Jr., and his wife, Anne, of Mount Union; Jacquita R. Heidler of Punxsutawney; Glendon Allen Heidler, and his wife, Dixie, of McVeytown; and Crystal D. Eugene Heidler, officiating. William H. "Bill" BROWN Jr., 61, of DeForrest Apartments, Huntingdon, died Friday, August 27, 2004, at 4:01 p.m. at Altoona Hospital, Altoona. He was born June 12, 1943, in Huntingdon, a son of the late William H. Sr. and Thelma Celesta (Corbin) Brown. He is survived by two sons; Rick Brown, Huntingdon, and Michael W. Brown and his wife, Teresa, of Kodak, Tenn.; one daughter, Patty (Brown) Tisi and her husband, Albert, of Kodak, Tenn.; and four grandchildren; Alec Nathaniel Brown, Amanda Brown, Abbey Brown and Dawson Brown. He is also survived by three brothers; Donald L. Brown and his wife, Carol, of LaHabra, Calif., Leslie Howard Brown of Bellflower, Calif. and Walter E. Brown and his wife, Debbie, of Mobile, Ala., and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Frank P. Hommon Post No. 24 American Legion, Huntingdon, and the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge No. 223, Huntingdon. He attended Huntingdon public schools and was a graduate of Huntingdon Area High School with the Class of 1961. He was a musician having been a drummer for many hands including the Thunderbolts and the Beau Marcs. He was always proud of his musical accomplishments including opening for a number of top entertainers, one being the pop duo Paul and Paula at the Huntingdon County Fair in the early 1960's. Memorial services will be announced and held at a later date. Donald Curtis FLOOD, a resident of the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington, D.C., died Aug. 28, 2004, at the age of 81. He was born Sept. 12, 1922, in Mount Union. Surviving are a son, Randolph G. Flood, a daughter-in-law, and a grandson, Jefferson Frederick, of Alexandria, Va. His wife, Janet (Crouse) Flood, preceded him in death in 1994. He was a life member of the American Legion and the VFW. Mr. Flood attended public schools, graduating from Mount Union High School in 1941. A veteran of World War II, Mr. Flood served with the 733rd Air Material Squadron, 491st Air Service Group of the Eighth Air Force in Normandy, northern France, Rhineland, and central Europe where he received numerous citations, including five bronze stars. Following the war, he returned home to marry his wife and manage Willow Hill General Store. Moving to Virginia in 1958, Mr. Flood worked as a heavy machinery operator for the construction company that built Dulles International Airport. Later, he became a parts manager for McMichael's Service Center in Nokesville, Va., a farm machinery dealership that sold International Harvester and New Holland tractors and farm equipment. He retired in 1979. Mr. Flood was buried in a private family ceremony in the Upper Path Valley Cemetery, Spring Run, on Sept 3, 2004, where a color guard and rifle team from American Legion Post 232 performed a salute to a World War II veteran. BOLLINGER, 94, formerly of Mount Union and Burnham, went to be with the Lord at 1:40 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, following an extended illness, at the Wynwood House, Centre Hall, where she was residing. Born Oct. 8, 1909, in Orbisonia, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Anna M. (Golden) Gaibraith. She was united in marriage to Raymond G. Bollinger Feb. 14, 1934, in Cumberland, Md., by N.E. Webb. Mr. Bollinger preceded her in death May 13, 1993. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Donald L. (Rose Marie) Horton of Lewistown, R.R. 2, and Mrs. Richard T. (Jean) Hunter of Montoursville, R.R. 2; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by three brothers; John F. Gaibraith, James Darrell Galbraith and Edward 0. Gaibraith, and one sister, Josephine A. Mabel Rishel. For many years, Mrs. Bollinger was an active member of the Sugar Run Church of the Brethren in Hill Valley, where she was a lifetime deaconess, taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir and held many church offices. She was a member of the Mount Union Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and for many years was a nurse at the American Red Cross bloodmobiles in Mount Union. She was a 1927 graduate of Orbisonia High School and was a 1934 graduate of the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for many years as a pediatric nurse at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services will be held at Sugar Run Church of the Brethren, Hill Valley, with Pastors Jim Hullihen, Douglas Sherlock and William Somers officiating. Interment will be made in Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg, R.R. 1. Mary E. QUERRY, 73, a resident of the Malta Home, Granville, formerly of Silverford Heights, Mt. Union, died on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at the Lewistown Hospital. Mary was born Jan. 23, 1931, in Richfield, Snyder County, the daughter of the late Ray and Sadie Mae (Stroup) Straser. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold H. Querry. Mary is survived by two sons, Ronald H. (Mugs) Querry and wife, Carol, of RD 1 Fallen Timber and Michael E. Querry and wife, Patty, of RD 1 Mt. Union. Also surviving is a grandson, Michael Alan Querry. She has two half sisters and one half brother surviving: Beverly, Margaret and Ned. There is one sister deceased, Mae Jane Fisher, and a half brother deceased, Larry Straser. Mrs. Querry was a homemaker. She was a member of the Beech Run Church of the Brethren. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mt. Union, with the Rev. Connie Maclay officiating. Hazel (Yingling) Anderson, 86, a resident of The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, and formerly of Arcadia, Calif., died Saturday afternoon, Aug. 28, 2004, at The Village following a lengthy illness. Born March 15, 1918, in Taylor Township, rural Roaring Spring, she was the daughter of the late Simon J. Sr. and Grace G. (Guyer) Yingling. She was united in marriage to Lehman V. Anderson in 1941 in Bel Air, Md. Mr. Anderson preceded her in death May 30, 2001. She is survived by a sister, Esther Ters of Garden Grove, Calif.; two brothers, R. Dean Yingling of Roaring Spring, R.R. 1, and Harold L. Yingling of Martinsburg, R.R. 2, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Simon J. Yingling Jr. Mrs. Anderson was of the Brethren faith. She was a 1935 graduate of Morrisons Cove High School and a graduate of Juniata College and the Shippensburg State Teachers College. She was an elementary school teacher in Petersburg for six years and in California for 22 years. Mrs. Anderson enjoyed traveling. Funeral services were to be held at 11 am. today, Tuesday. FOUSE, 42, of Ind., died Aug. 29, 2004, at his residence. Born Aug. 19, 1962, in Sewickley, he was the son of Gene R. Sr. and Lis Maxine (Long) Fouse, who survive at their Crown Point, Ind., residence. He was previously married to Kimberly (Pickett) Fouse. He is survived by two daughters, Sara Jean and Alicia Faye Fouse, Both of Moon Twp., Allegheny County. One brother, Gene R. Fouse Jr. of Enon Valley, and one sister, Victoria Lee (Fouse) Woodling of New Manchester, W.Va., survive. He is also survived by several aunt and uncles and his dear friends, Ron and Cheryl Tight, and their daughter, Lindsey. Mr. Fouse was a member of the Raccoon Presbyterian Church of Aliquippa. He was an Eagle Scout with Troop 466 of the Allegheny Trails Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Fouse was a graduate of Hopewell High School, Hopewell Twp., Beaver County. He was employed by Valpariso University in the maintenance department. Mr. Fouse enjoyed antiques, flower and vegetable gardening and the outdoors. Interment will be made in Entriken Cemetery, Lincoln Twp, Huntingdon County. Ronald J. WRIGHT, 67, of 130 Shoups Branch Road, Lot 20, Saxton, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, at Donahoe Manor, Bedford. Born Nov. 11, 1936, in Holsopple, he was the son of the Robert Roddy and Clema (Rudy) Wright. He was united in mamage to Linda (Collins) Everhart June 22, 2000. He is survived by his wife; one step-daughter Diane Heinlein of Baltimore, Md.; one stepson, Joseph Malecki of Baltimore, Md.: and five step-grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters survive; Donald Wright of North Carolina, Kenneth Wright of Baltimore, Md., Faye Casper of Edgemere, Md., and Sandra Kutz of Baltimore, Md. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Robert. Mr. Wright was a member of Kearney Union Church, Six Mile Run, R.R. 6. He had been employed as a truck driver for the city of Baltimore. During his lifetime, Mr. Wright enjoyed baseball, fishing and fellowship with family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Madaline May FRAZER, 93, a resident of The Oaks at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon, and formerly of Alexandria and the Blair House Apartments in Huntingdon, died at 3:47 p.m. Monday. Aug. 30, 2004, at The Oaks. Born May 21, 1911, in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Mable Catherine (Eckley) Patterson. She was united in marriage to Isaac Milton Frazer June 17, 1932, at the United Methodist Church in Lock Haven. Mr. Frazer preceded her in death June 3, 1969. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley M. Guyer and Marilyn L. Adams, and her husband, Bobby, all of Huntingdon, and two sons, Gary E. Frazer of Huntsville, Ala.. and Ronald M. Frazer of Fort Myers, Fla. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Curtis Alan Guyer, and his wife, Debra; Steven Lee Ankeney; Michael Edward Ankeney, and his companion, Beth Morningstar. Mark Frazer Ankeney, and his wife, Patricia; Scott David Frazer; Christy Noel Henderson, and her husband, Bruce; and Jonathan Isaac Frazer. She is also survived by a former granddaughter-in-law, Elizabeth Ankeney. Ten great-grandchildren survive; Stephanie Guyer: Alan Guyer; Sean Guyer; Heather Ankeney; Michael Ankeney; Robby Pearce. and his wife, Chris; Christina Nelson. and her husband, Jonathan; Ella Henderson, Erica Henderson and Alexis Henderson; and three great-great grandchildren; Robby Pearce Jr., Devon Pearce and Nick Pearce. She was preceded in death by her only sibling, a sister, Elizabeth Lucy Patterson, in 1918 at the age of 14. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Scott Guyer, March 10, 2002, and a granddaughter, Wendy Lynn Frazer in July 1968. Until her health started to fail, Mrs. Frazer has been a very active member of the Alexandria United Methodist Church, Sunday school and the Women's Society, where she had served in several offices and as project chairperson for many events. She was a life member of the Alexandria Fire Co. Auxiliary. Mrs. Frazer graduated from Alexandria High School and had been primarily a homemaker until her husband's death. She then went to work for the Juniata Valley School District, retiring in 1976 as the cafeteria supervisor. After her retirement from JVSD, she worked for several summer seasons at Edgewater Acres Resort. She was a lifetime resident of Huntingdon County and enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed playing bingo. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at the Cuthght-Speck Funeral Home -Juniata Valley Chapel, 412 Main St., Alexandria, with Pastor Richard J. Harter officiating. Interment will be made in Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery. Miriam Schlegel MESSELMAN, 87, Juniata College professor of education emeritus, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at Willow Vailey Retirement Community in Lancaster. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Ann Boohar, and her husband, Charles Boohar, and two grandsons, Charles Boohar III, and his wife, Mary, and Bryant Boohar, and his wife, Ellen. She is also survived by two great-granddaughters, Rachel and Abigail Boohar, and two nieces, Devon Weaver of Millersburg and Robin Young of New Cumberland. Dr. Musselman graduated from Shippensburg State Teachers College in 1938. She began her dedicated career in education as an elementary teacher in the Hanover School District. She served in the United States Navy WAVES during World War II. Immediately after the war, she taught elementary grades in the American School in Cairo, Egypt. Upon her return from the Middle East, Dr. Musselman joined the Juniata College faculty, continued her studies in education at the University of Pennsylvania and earned her doctorate at Vanderbilt University's Peabody College of Education. She moved to Quarryville upon her marriage to the late Stanley Musselman. She was active in the former St. Paul's United Church of Christ and Farm Women. Together with John Hoffman, she served as honorary co-chairperson of the fund-raising drive for the newly constructed Quarryville Library. She had resided at Willow Valley Manor North for the past several years. She enjoyed her service as a member and president of the Manor North Resident's Council. Memorial service and interment will be private. The Rev. Benjamin F. MANNING, 75, of Huntingdon, died Aug. 31, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial hospital in Huntingdon. Born Jan. 31, 1929, in Mount Union, he was the son of the late Edgar and Justine (Dorman) Manning. He is survived by two sons and one daughter: Andrew M. Harris of Howard, Benjamin F. Harris of Huntingdon and Lori E. Harris of Philadelphia. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: George Hutchings of Hollidaysburg; Cynthia Hutchings of Huntingdon; Sharon (Hutchings) Larkins of Atlanta, Ga.; and Lorraine (Hutchings) Oliver of Riverdale, Ga. He was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Zella M. Harris; two sisters, Helen McNeal and Barbara Tyson; and three brothers Charles Manning, Howard Manning and Virgil Hutchings. Rev. Manning was a member of Payne AME Church in Huntingdon, where he had served as trustee, steward and Sunday School teacher. He was a member of Standing Stone Post No. 1754 VFW, Huntingdon. He was a graduate of Huntingdon High School, Class of 1947, where he was an outstanding Bearcat football and basketball player. Rev. Manning was a private first class with Co. D of the 371st Armored Infantry Battalion of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. For 35 years, he was a guard at the State Correctional Institution Huntingdon, retiring in 1991. He was then ordained in the AME Conference and pastored in Tyrone and Mount Union. Funeral services will be held Sept. 4, at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home in Huntingdon, where the Rev. Sylvia Morris will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Keith Hutchings. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. Anna SCHRENKEL, 92, died Aug. 31, 2004, at The Oaks at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon, where she was residing. Born July 2, 1912, in Robertsdale, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Anna (Madar) Ramper. She was united in marriage to Charles M. Schrenkel June 2, 1933. Mr. Schrenkel preceded her in death Oct. 7, 1976. She is survived by two sons, J. Daniel Schrenkel of Miami, Fla., and Charles M. Schrenkel Jr. of Broad Top, and five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Two sisters survive: Helen Ramper Conner and Margaret Ramper, both of Coalmont. Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. Schrenkel was of the Lutheran faith. During her life she was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held Sept. 3, 2004, at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, Cassville, with the Rev. David Bailey officiating. Interment will be made in Newburg Cemetery, James Creek. Richard D. SMITH, 67, of R.R. 3, Box 289, Huntingdon, died at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon following an extended bout with cancer. Born April 2, 1937, in Oliver Township, Mifflin County, he was the son of Oscar George and Melinda Jane (Rodgers) Smith. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. (Kough) Cisney Smith, and four stepsons: Dennis E. Cisney. and his wife, Frances K., of Huntingdon; Robert C. Cisney, and his wife, Kathy S., of Dover; Perry L. Cisney, and his wife, Jean Ann, of York; and Timothy A. Cisney, and his wife, Sandra K.. of Rockhill Furnace. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. The following brother and sisters survive; Oscar Leroy Smith of Mount Union; Betty Louise Smith of Lewistown; Shirley Rosensteel of Mount Union; Donna Fae Smith of Lewistown; and Sandra Smith Heaster, and her husband, Fred, of Mount Union. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters: Kenneth Smith. Harold Smith. Elizabeth Gloss, Florence Forshey, Charles Rodgers and John Rodgers. Mr. Smith was of the Protestant faith. He was a veteran of the United serving from June 1958. He had been employed by Cisney & O'Donnell Inc. for 30 years, retiring April 30, 1999. Mr. Smith enjoyed bowling and participated in Holiday Bowl leagues. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with the Rev. George "Buddy" Baird officiating. Interment will be made in Saltillo Cemetery. Stephen WEKO died at his home Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, in the loving care of his family. He was born Jan. 12. 1926, in Huntingdon, one of nine children of John Weko and Katherine (Vladych) Weko. He married Dorothy Jean Sacks of Harrisburg in September 1952. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Weko; his children, Stephanie Kessler and Thomas Weko; six grandchildren: Robert, Jennifer, Hannah, Noah, Ruth and Madeleine; four sisters Katherine, Sophie, Annie and Mary: and one brother, Charles. A graduate of Huntingdon High School, he entered the U.S. Army Air Corps in February 1944 and served in China with the Flying Tigers, 407th Squadron, 14th Service Group. In April 1946 he returned to civilian life in Huntingdon, first working as a laborer; later in Harrisburg, as a freight brakeman with the Reading Railroad. He earned an associate's degree from Temple University in June 1953. He subsequently worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and AMP Incorporated, among others, before establishing his own business as a manufacturer's representative in 1971. He was a resident of Malvern and a member of the Paoli Presbyterian Church since 1957. His many avocations included choral music, Civil War history, native American archeology, the restoration of antique furniture, coin collecting, the study of Ukrainian and local government, in which he was a Democratic Party activist and a member of the East Whiteland Township Historical Commission. In retirement, Mr. Weko enjoyed a series of visits to his relatives in the Ukraine, served as a volunteer at Paoli Memorial Hospital and delighted in his work as a handyman and custodian at the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Berwyn and as "Mr. Steve" at the Trinity Nursery School for Tots. A memorial service will be held at Paoli Presbyterian Church at 1 p.m. Saturday. Sept. 18.
