All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm __________________________________________ ALTOONAN'S BROTHER KILLED AT PITTSBURG Carlton Bales, of Huntingdon, Fatally Hurt on Motorcycle Carlton Bales, brother of Harry Bales, of this city, died at a Pittsburg hospital yesterday morning from injuries received Thursday night when he figured in a motorcycle crash in the Smoky City. Bales was taken to the hospital immediately after the accident, particulars of which are lacking. His relatives in this city were apprised of the young man's serious condition, and his father, John A. Bales, and his sister Lorena, both of Huntingdon, hurried to his bedside. The victim passed away shortly after 9 o'clock yesterday morning. Bales was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Bakes and was born at Huntingdon 23 years ago. Several years ago he went to Wilkinsburg and was employed by the Westinghouse company. He was a machinist. His parents survive with two brothers, Harry, this city, and George, Burnham, Pa., and two sisters, Misses Lorena and Marguerite, both at home.
