BARBEN Helen Louise Barben, the only child of John K. and Sara Simpson Barben, died at their home, 210 Mifflin street, on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 11.55 a.m. from the effects of bronchial whooping cough and teething. The child had been seriously ill for about two weeks, during which time the parents did all that money and medical skill were able to accomplish, as a means of prolonging the life of their only child whom they dearly loved. Helen was born on Jan. 18, 1918, and at the time of death was only eight months and ten days. The funeral service was conducted at home on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock by the Rev. George S. Womer, pastor of the parents, with interment in Riverview cemetery. To the bereaved parents, we extend our sincere sympathy in this their hour of sorrow, and trust they may find peace and comfort as they direct their thoughts to one who doeth all things well, and is capable of healing all wounds.
