Barkley Fred Thompson Barkley, son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Barkley, of Union township, died in the J. C. Blair Memorial hospital, Huntingdon, Wednesday morning, March 22, at 2 o'clock, of heart trouble, after several months illness. He had just recently returned home from Ohio, where he had been employed. He was born October 3, 1887, and was aged 34 years, 5 months and 29 days. Besides his parents he is survived by the following brothers and sisters -Kirby, of Brinton Harbor, Mich.; William, Jr., Ralph and James, Mrs. Scott Heaster, Mary, Emma and Olive, all of Union township. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias of Altoona. Funeral Services were held from the home of his sister, Mrs. Scott Heaster, on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, services in charge of Rev. J. A.
