Barton, 86, of 6723 Rt. 87 Highway, Williamsport, formerly of Saltillo, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001. Funeral services were held Oct. 4.3 at the Community Baptist Church, 900 N. Loyalsock Ave., Montoursville, with her pastors who faithfully served her, Rev. Gary D. Finn, Rev. Lynn A. Wheeler and Rev. Harry Hare officiating. Burial was in Barbours Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville, PA 17754. Born Dec. 22, 1914, in Saltillo, she was the daughter of Harvey and Floretta Keith Roles. She was married to Mahlon H. Barton, who preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 1975. She is survived by three daughters: Anita Sue (Ralph) Arnold of Montoursville, Diane Louise (Edward) Sandnes of Lewisberry and Nancy Virginia McHenry of Williamsport. Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Alana Sue Barton, Lauri Lee Steinbacher, Brett Alan Barton, Brooke Mahlon Barton, Scott David Markel, Sheryl Aileen Rinker, Jon Alan Markel, Jeffrey Thomas Arnold and Adam Sandness. Mrs. Barton is also survived by: two step-grandsons, Kelly D. and Kim R. Henry; and 19 great-grandchildren, Erik, Erin and Ryan Steinbacher; Ethan, Jenna and Jordan Barton; Leslie, Amy, Scotty, Sara and Ben Markel; Brad and Stacey Rinker; Austin, Breanna and Jamie Markel; Meagan, Drew and Julia Arnold. A step-great-grandson, Michael Zika, and a great-great-grandson, Charles William Steinbacher, also survive. Mrs. Barton was preceded in death by a son, Alan Mahlon Barton, and a daughter, Cheryl Barton. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church where she was a former choir member and a member of its Senior Citizen Organization. She was a former member of the South Williamsport Senior Citizens.
