Bickle of 4379 Burket Road, Tyrone (Warriors Mark), died unexpectedly January 25, 2007 at Altoona Hospital. He was born August 25, 1928 in Barnsboro, PA, the son of the late Frances E. (Johnson) Bickle and Leroy P. Bickle. He married Edna L. Miller, who survives, on November 2, 1952 at the Greenwood United Methodist Church. Survivors include: his wife and two daughters, Robin K. and husband Ken Noel of Pittsburgh, Regina G. and husband Bob Thorpe of State College; two grandsons, Dustin Conrad and wife Shari stationed in Cherry Point, NC and Kyle Conrad of State College; two great- granddaughters, Haley and Ashley; one sister, Shirley Byerley of Cypress, TX and one brother, Gordon Bickle of Scottsdale, AZ. He was preceded in death by two brothers. His passion for work was only exceeded by his devotion to his family. He was a life-long dairy farmer in Warriors Mark valley, retiring in 1987. He then did carpentry work for Bruce E. Cox General Contracting and others in the Warriors Mark area, later becoming township supervisor and road master of Warriors Mark Township for 15 years. He was caretaker of Burket Cemetery. He was a charter member and life-long member of the Warriors Mark- Franklin Volunteer Fire Company. He attended Greenwood United Methodist Church. Funeral service is scheduled for January 29, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Bruce E. Cox Funeral Home, Warriors Mark with Rev. Jeffrey Wakeley officiating. Place of burial will be Burket Cemetery, Warriors Mark. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Monday from 10 until the time of service.
