All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm __________________________________________ Fredric Boggs Fredric Max Boggs, 85, formerly of Silverford Heights, Mount Union died at 12:50 p.m., on Monday, February 13, at the Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia, where he has been a resident. Funeral services will be private and interment will be made in St. Mark's Cemetery, Lewistown. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union. He was born November 21, 1921, in Mount Union, a son of the late Charles and Carrie (Lehman) Boggs. Mr. Boggs is survived by one brother, Kenneth Boggs and wife Winifred of Mount Union and also there is one nephew, Dennis Boggs of Lexington, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Boggs and a sister Rachael Boggs, who died at birth. Mr. Boggs graduated from Mount Union High School in 1939. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He entered in 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1946 after serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre of Operations. Mr. Boggs was a member of the VFW Post 5754, and had served many years as secretary, and American Legion Post 107, both of Mount Union. He was retired from North American Refractories, Mount Union, where he had worked in the Administrative Office. Prior to that he had also been employed in the office at Devecchis and Sons, Mount Union and Clair M. Love Excavating, RD#1, Shirleysburg. Mr. Boggs was a member of the St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Lewistown. Memorials can be made to American Cancer Society, Hwy 26, Huntingdon, PA 16652. Valley Log, Orbisonia, PA, February 21, 2007
