Box 65, Shirleysburg, died at 5:40 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000, at the Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia. Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 13, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with the Rev. Raymond Hill officiating. Interment was in Germany Valley Cemetery, RR 1, Shirleysburg. Born Dec. 31, 1942, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Vernon "Wimp" and Betty (Traxler) Brumbaugh. She was united in marriage to James K. Booher on April 13, 1963 in Mount Union by Rev. Albert Haught. Her husband survives along with their two daughters: Susan Fortney, RR1, Mount Union, and Amy Harven, Denver, two granddaughters, and three grandsons. Also surviving is a sister and brother, Brenda L. Buckley, Calvin and Vernon M. "Wimp" Brumbaugh, Lock Haven. Mrs. Booher was a graduate of Captain Jack High School, Mount Union, in the Class of 1961. She was a certified nurse's aide having worked at the Shirley Home, Shirleysburg, and at the Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia.
