Brown Kenneth True Brown, 80, of Fairfield Glade, TN, died Saturday, July 15, at Cumberland Medical Center, Crossville, TN. Funeral services were held today at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with Rev. Tim Miller and Rev. Myers Kimmel officiating. Interment was made in Cornelius Chapel Cemetery, RD, Mapleton. Mr. Brown was born August 25, 1925 in Clay Township, Huntingdon County. He was the son of the late Velve True and Edna (Park) Brown. Mr. Brown was united in marriage to Chloe Wakefield on October 24, 1948 at the Rockhill Church of the Brethren, Rockhill Furnace. Mrs. -Brown survives at their home. Mr. Brown is also survived by two sons and two daughters: Daniel Kenneth Brown, M.D. and wife Louann of Augusta, GA; Jeffrey True Brown, J. D. and wife April of Kingman, AZ; Melissa Jean Davis and husband Martin of Warren, OH and Molly Jane Knox and husband Mark of Dayton OH. There are seven grandchildren: Crystal, Courtney, Christopher, Dustin, Jeffrey, Joey and Jenna and one great-granddaughter, Mackenzie. Mr. Brown is survived by one sister, Bonnie Cohenour, of Mapleton. Two other sisters are deceased, Mary Dell and Betty Brown. Mr. Brown attended Akron University, was a member of Victory Lodge #649, Free Accepted Masons in Akron and was a veteran of World War II, having served with the US Army, 34th Infantry, in Italy where he received the Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge. Mr. Brown retired with 30-years service from Firestone Tire and Rubber Co., in Akron, where he had worked as a supervisor. He was a 40-year member of the Akron Church of the Brethren, Akron, Ohio, where he was a life deacon. The Valley Log, Orbisonia, PA, July 19, 2006
