MARY E. BROWN 

  Mary E. Brown, age 91, of Huntingdon Manor, formerly of 
Franklinville, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004 at Huntingdon Manor.
  She was born Sept. 12, 1913 in Juniata County. The daughter of Jacob 
Annie (Grecar) Carl.
  She was married on Aug. 14, 1937 to Herbert W. Brown in Hagerstown, 
MD.
  Mr. Brown died on Aug. 19, 1959.
  She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Harry, James, John 
and Lester Carl and one sister, Edith Jenkins.
  She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
  She was a 1933 graduate of Mt. Union High School.
  Mrs. Brown was an active member of the Spruce Creek United Methodist 
Church and also a member of the Warriors Mark Senior Citizens, Home 
Extension Organization.
  She was employed in the custodial department at Penn State University 
before retiring in 1975.
  Friends will be received at the Bruce E. Cox Funeral Home, Warriors 
Mark on Saturday, Oct. 23 from Noon until 2 p.m., the time of the 
services at the funeral home.
  Vance Hart, who served as her pastor, will officiate. Burial will be 
at the Franklinville cemetery.
