All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ________________________________________________ MISS IRMA JANE BUCK A lifelong resident of Warriors Mark, died Monday afternoon at 4.30 o'clock in the Philipsburg State hospital after an illness of several weeks, death being attributed to a complication of ailments. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. Scott Buck, well known residents of Warriors Mark for many years, and was born Nov. 4, 1884, and resided with her mother until her death about two years ago. Surviving are three brothers, George C. and Walter S., both of Warriors Mark and Donald W. of St. Joseph, Mich., and three sisters, Mrs. Anna K. Nearhoof of Warriors Mark, Mrs. Hazel D. Oliver of Springfield, Mo., and Mrs. Esther B. Fisher of Pittsburgh, Pa. She united with the Methodist church under the ministry of Rev. E. M. Aller in 1902 and was a charter member of the Star Bible class, and served as treasurer since 1925. Some years ago she was organist of the church and sang in the choir. When the war came on in 1941, Miss Buck contributed the service flag for the church and faithfully attended to the roll of service men and women ever since. Friends are being received at the home in Warriors Mark. BUCK - Funeral services for Miss Irma Jane Buck will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Warriors Mark Methodist church in charge or Rev. R. R. Ritter, pastor, and Rev. W. W. Willard of Tyrone, following a short service at the home at 2 o'clock. Interment in the Burket cemetery. Friends are being received at the home in Warriors Mark. Altoona Mirror, December 26, 1945
