All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm __________________________________________ WILLIAM BURKETT William Burkett died at his late home at Warriorsmark at 10.15 o'clock Thursday night of paralysis with which he was stricken on February 6. He had since been confined to bed. Deceased was the son of Peter and Nancy Burkett, deceased; was born in Blair county and was aged 81 years and 6 months. He accompanied his parents to the Burkett farm when 4 years of age. He was a carpenter by occupation, a veteran of the Civil war, and a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. He was twice married, his first union being with Marion Weston who preceded him to the grave forty-seven years ago. Six children were born to this union, these surviving: Harry, of Marion, Ind.; Mrs. Alvin Espy, of Juniata, and Mrs. Grace Low, of Tampa, Fla. He is also survived by his second wife and these children, Clayton and Mrs. William Conrad, of Warriorsmark, and Alice, at home. These brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. Jerry Ike and George W. Burkett, of Altoona; Mrs. H. H. Waite, of Huntingdon, and J. B. Burkett, of Warriorsmark. The funeral will take place Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in the Burkett cemetery.
